I have had a problem for the past month or so with my computer running videos really slow on a lot of sites and was wondering if anyone had some advice to help them run better. Namely, sites like the Nostalgia Critic, ScrewAttack and Hulu are running and a dreadfully slow rate. The audio is fine, but the video consists of mostly still-frames every two seconds.
I thought I had a virus and some other issues, so I bought an external hard drive, backed everything up, rebooted XP from the ground up, and took mostly everything but the basics off of my computer.
Its still slow.
I downloaded the latest version of Flash (10.0 I believe) and its still dragging. Does anyone have any idea what might fix this dragging problem? I haven't been able to enjoy some of my favorite humor sites outside of Wrestlecrap, primarily because they have a lot of video. Ironically, YouTube works fine. But any other streaming video sites mostly suck and are unbearable to watch.
Any suggestions?

It would do it to me at random points in time (especially with Nostalgia Critic), but it would eventually correct itself. I have no idea what causes it, but all I know is that it would go away if I waited it out.
