Muppets Christmas Carol is great all around. The songs are catchy and the muppets are great supporting characters. Michael Caine plays Scrooge straight like he would if he were acting with humans and since Caine does things great it just legitimizes the story for me. Sadly the last great Muppet movie.
George C. Scott version is also greatly acted and also the scariest.

I probably prefer the Scott verson because all those other adaptations for the most part absolutely forget that Dickens wrote "Carol" originally as sheer propaganda. He wanted to highlight how awful the poverty in industrial England was, but nobody wanted to sit through a lecture.
So instead, he wrote a story where people with some coin were made ashamed. And unintentionally changed Anglo-American culture's perception of what "Christmas" is supposed to be.

I also love the George C. Scott version.
I haven't seen Mickey's Christmas Carol in years, and can't find it anywhere.

The Muppets Christmas Carol was a staple of my childhood Christmasses.
Also really like the version with Patrick Stewart, Channel 4 play it every year here and I always try to catch it.

I just saw the Jim Carrey/Bob Zemeckis version of the film. While it was OK and looked great. It does not rank as one of the best.
Best ones are: Muppets, Mickey Mouse/Scrooge McDuck, and Scrooged.

Muppet Christmas Carol is my personal favorite.
You know hell is a terrible place when it makes even Statler and Waldorf regret their foul deeds.

I have been debating this with my Sister for a while now:
Did A Mickey's Christmas Carol feature the first appearance of Scrooge McDuck? My sister says so.
I but I'm sure Scooge McDuck made his first appearance long before AMCC came out.

Actually, Scrooge's first animated appearance was a 1967 educational short about money and economics, called "Scrooge McDuck and Money." He was first voiced by Bill Thompson, the voice of Droopy. And while we're on the subject of how awesome Mickey's Christmas Carol is, I give you..........the opening.

Thank You I guess my sister thinks Mickey's Carol was made back in the 40s or something. I should tell her it was from the 80s.

The Alistair Sim version was the one I watched growing up. Everything else pales in comparison.

I'd have to go with the Alister Sims version as my favorite. The George C Scott one is special because I saw Scrooge's grave while on a trip to Shrewburry,England.
