Well folks, another Amazing Race has come and gone, and the general consensus is that it was one of the weaker seasons. And as we speak, somewhere on this planet, the next race is taking place and it may feature a dimwitted Miss Teen America that could entertain us all.
So, as we sit between seasons, let's all take some time to discuss the best reality show on TV. Let's not limit our discussion to this past season, though I expect it to get a lot of attention. Let's talk about any of the past 15 races, as well as the next one.
Did you want the Globetrotters to win this season?
Is Flo the worst (and luckiest) contestant in the history of the show?
Would you consider Jonathan to be the biggest villain in the history of TAR?
How great were BJ and Tyler?
No matter what season, discuss The Amazing Race.
Make Phil proud!

I hear Jeff and Jordan from this past Season of Big Brother on are the season coming up in a couple of months. I liked them at first, but really came to dislike them towards the end. Curious to see how they do on this one.
The Globetrotters were by far and away my favorites in this season, though Gary & Matt were great along with Team Zebra.
If I never see Sam and Dan again it'll be too soon.

I would've been fine with the Globetrotters winning, but my pre show pick was Brian and Ericka, close...so close.

According to an interview, the Globetrotters are on good terms with Sam and Dan and blame (surprise surprise) the editing for a lot of their perceived villainy.
And regarding that former Miss Teen USA I mentioned, it's apparently Miss South Carolina 2007. She's famous for "answering" a question about maps.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES. i hope they only show her saying stupid things like that. BJ and Tyler are my favourite team in the history of the amazing race, followed by nick and starr (even though i find it to be a slutty name lol).

Which one was Jonathan again? Jonathan was from Season 6. He was married to Victoria, the blonde who appeared in Playboy years earlier. He was verbally (and at one point, physically) abusive to her. He was really obnoxious and had some blue hair in the back of his head. They both appeared on Fear Factor and hilarity/drama ensued. Also I have not watched Seasons 3, 4, 5, 7 or 11, while missing half of 12. Of the ones I've seen: 1: Season 6 (Had strong teams. Loved Jon/Kris, loved to hate Jonathan, entertained by Lori/Bolo and the hay bale incident) 2: Season 13 (Strong teams. Loved Nick/Starr and Dallas/Toni and the Starr/Dallas relationship, and Ken/Tina weren't bad) 3: Season 14 (My first season and it was fun. Most teams were strong and I loved the Luke drama) 4: Season 8 (Seriously, I liked Family Edition. Blame it on the Weavers. They're dilusional traits made it fun. And the Linzs rule) 5: Season 9 (Strong teams and I liked BJ and Tyler. Also happy when Fran/Barry won a leg) 6: Season 1 (Team Guido made for great villains and I liked the final few teams, especially Kevin/Drew) 7: Season15 (Mainly for the Globetrotters, but this was definitely a weak season) 8: Season 2 (Strong teams, but nothing memorable) 9: Season 10 (I was bored by the time we had five teams left and it was a chore to watch the last few episodes)

I've always loved this show - the only one I wasn't crazy about was the Family Edition. This is the only reality show I can stand.
The editing doesn't surprise me. I know there are times when the race isn't even as close as they make it out to be.
I do hope they get rid of that thing where people get eliminated before the race even begins (as happened this season).

What a tool. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) This was also the season with the two married pro wrestlers and the guy with the Hellboy hairdo.

You know, I never really thought Family Edition was so bad, although I understand why others hate it. One of the biggest problems was that they barely left North America and a lot of footage involved people arguing in the SUV.
And yeah, the Hellboy guy (forgot his name) was a spoiled mommas boy. They made that perfectly clear and explained he still lived at home, etc.
And regarding Jonathan and Victoria, here's their Fear Factor appearance, featuring an appearance by an Awesome guy.

I have to add something that bothers me - going back to this year's edition - the whole scene with the big statues that the brothers brought that was cracked. Something like this has happened every season when you think a team should lose out or fail a challenge - but they end up passing it. I wonder if the people misunderstand (the ones that hold the clues) the rules given by the producers or what.
The brothers should not have been able to pass that challenge and have been made to re-do it.

All I know is: 1) I want a big ol' KAFKA stamp. 2) Rob and Amber were the best Amazing Race team ever, but got screwed by bad luck. 3) Amazing Race rules face.
Oh, and yes, BJ and Tyler kicked ass.

I haven't seen all the seasons but I watched the last couple of episodes from Season Nine yesterday and I must say - I loved BJ & Tyler. They were so fun to watch and I was so glad they won.

I thought this season was pretty good. I wasn't really rooting for anyone in particular, but it was still fun. The 8th season was awful though. Road Block: Stay in this crappy trailer for the night!

I only watch random episodes, although I did see a cluster of 14's last episodes. Was pulling for Luke.

Ugh. Just no. Rob and Amber weren't the best anything. Amber was the most useless person in TAR history (at least up to that point), and Rob had CBS pulling the strings for him until they finally got tired of his BS on the last leg and sent him to Tire King.

I didn't see this season, but it sounds like Amber followed up her Survivor All Stars & Australia performances with more of the same.

Wrestling needs a Swedish Haybale match. 300 haybales. 5 wrestlers. First person to find the championship in a haybale wins the title.
I expect this to be on TNA Impact by the end of the year.

I only watch random episodes, although I did see a cluster of 14's last episodes. Was pulling for Luke. A lot of people were pulling for Luke and Margie in the beginning, but then they turned heel and things were never the same. Tammy and Victor made for great faces, though. They had a bad day in the third episode and overcame the odds and won. One of the best teams ever. One of.
