There's been a lot of talking about it lately, but I haven't seen an actuall thread about it. If I missed it I'm sorry about creating this one, but I just wanted to discuss it.
So it's pretty obvious now for me at least that Orton is slowly turning face. It's quite clear that he has had a lot of fans despite being heel and that people starting cheering for him rather than the "good guy" he was battling.
A good example of this was the last feud he had with Ceena where you clearly could hear the crowd chanting "Orton Orton" or "RKO RKO", as well as booing Ceena when he hit Randy and cheering Randy when he hit Ceena. And it wasn't just sometimes, it was all the time. I know Cena isn't very much liked around here, but you can't deny that people cheer for him in the ring, which is why this is quite odd.
It seems like the WWE went all "oh s***t, people like Randy now, despite him being a douchebag" and pherhaps they just thought they should make him face.
However, I think turning face will ruin his gimmick. What do you guys think? Do you think they will turn him baby face? Or will they manage to do it properly by turning him face while still maintaining his attitude?

It depends if they've learnt their lesson from the last time this exact thing happened. If they keep him an asshole who happens to fight bigger assholes, with a cockyness and smarts, then it could work, if they change him, it won't.
Randy Orton is just naturally unlikable, if he tries to be nice, it's horrible.

I could see him working as an anti-hero/tweener role. But I'll never really buy out and out face Orton.

It would just be like Stone Cold turning heel following Wrestlemania X-7 in 2001. Though not a complete failure, but it didn't click right at all.
