No, not the clip where Big Bird learns Mr. Hooper is gone.
I've found something even sadder, somehow.
Big Bird sings It's Not Easy Being Green at Jim Henson's memorial service:
If this doesn't make you at least tear up a little, you have no soul.

The Mr. Hooper clip gets me. Watched it recently during the build up for the anniversary and just lost it.

The song at the end hits me harder I challenge anyone who grew up with the Muppets as kids to not cry when watching those two videos.... pretty damn hard not to.

I remember when they did a tribute for him on tv & to introduce the new voice for Kermit.
It was a very touching episode & it was the first time the Muppets aknowledged the puppeteers.

i never knew elmo was black Kevin Clash, who also played Splinter in the first three Ninja Turtle movies. Which also means The Secret of the Ooze credits include both a Kevin Clash and a Kevin Nash. Sad/unusual to see the puppeteers break kayfabe in that second video.

Saddest thing about the "Just One Person" video from Jim Henson's funeral?
The guy who played Scooter would die shortly after it.
For the record...the guy playing Wembly (the blonde Fraggle) is the current Kermit.

That would be Richard Hunt. He did a couple of speeches at the service. As requested by Jim Henson.

Nah, that was just a dream. They could see their feet and the floor and everything. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I'd love to puppeteer a muppet just once I haven't been there in years, but Sesame Place in Pennsylvania has/had an exhibit set up like a TV studio that let you try out a Muppet or two. You could stick you hand in one to control the puppet head and body and use your other hand to control the marionette arm. I'm pretty sure it was Sesame Place, at least. It may have been MGM Studios, instead, not 100% sure.
