I came of age in the 90's, and that was a decent decade for pop culture- but I wouldn't have minded growing up in the 2000's. There's good, and equally bad from every point in time(coughcoughAceOfBasecough)
Overall, it's very hard for me to get the idea of being "born too late" and wanting to come up in another time period, mainly because society's made too many positive advancements. Besides, the further back one goes, the worse public sanitation gets, so that really hurts my curmudgeon credentials.
I've also always had a fascination with anything old or thought of as "dated", so I don't picture myself not being able to appreciate things that came before me if I was born in, say, 1993.
And I'll take a sag in one's pants over the pants being riddled with holes.

I love everything about the 80s, so sometimes I wish I was born in the late 60s so I could grow up during that period.
Of course, other times I tell myself that even if I WAS born in the late 60s, I'd acquire a love of the 60s instead and wish I was born in the late 40s.

I'm happy I came of age in the 90's because the music from that period is my favorite.

I came of age in the 90's too. Awesome experience for the most part. I do wish I had grown up in the 60's/70's too, though.

I grew up in the late 80's to the 90's. I'm glad I grew up during then, but sometimes I think I wasn't born early enough.

I should have come of age in the 70's. In fact, I'd go as far as to say I should have been Eric Foreman.

I came of age in the middle of this decade, with vague memories of the 80's that dance in my head enough to fascinate me, and the 90's intrigue me because those were my childhood to early adolescent years which makes me feel like I missed out on a lot of stuff.

You were born too late.
We all were.

Sometimes I wish I were born about 5 years earlier. Then I could have appreciated sports a bit more. Especially the Boston Celtics of the 80's.

I don't think I should've been born in a different time period (except for maybe the future) but I do think I should've been born in a different place. I'm thinking either Japan or Norway.

There's good, and equally bad from every point in time(coughcoughAceOfBasecough) There will be no more Ace of Base bashing in this thread ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Personally, I would've loved to have been born 10-15 years earlier so I could grow up in the 80s.

I think I was born too late. Being an Inca would've kicked ass. Assuming I was not a slave and that I lived before the spanish invasion, of course.

Hope you've got good cardio, Incas didn't have any animal they could ride on. And the Empire of the Inca was the largest that any native people of the New World controlled geographically, so get used to running.

It's like wishing you were a fish, and then someone told you that you have to be able to breath under water before you wish for that.

I was just making sure you didn't want your current body thrown through the time portal, some people are really picky about that.

I probably should have been a teenager during the heyday of rock n roll. Instead I'm 27 and vastly out of date and just have people looking at me funny.
