1977-1980 would be a great time to be born in. Kid in the 80s, teenager to adult in the 90s, and still young enough to appreciate and enjoy the technology we have today and will have in the near future...

At the risk of sounding like a creeper, I feel I was born too early as well. Girls during my high school years (mid to late 90's) didn't really have any sense of style, it was just... whatever. Today, the "emo/scene" look (basically the Boxxy phenomenon) is something I find incredibly attractive - loud colors, heavy on the eyeliner, etc. But it's rare, at least around these parts, to find women at least into their mid-20's (I just turned 30 a few months ago) following these trends. It's all the high schoolers, or even younger. So frustrating.

I think I was born too late. I have an honor code (among other codes of mine that set me apart as a weirdo) that would have been looked upon as great in earlier times.

I'm technically a Generation Y'er, but my personality and pop culture tastes make me wish I was born in Generation X. I'm cynical, apathetic, and don't trust authority, I hardly like any movies or music that was made after the year 1997, and I even dress in the grungy style with flannel, jeans, and t-shirts all the time.
Plus, it was just before and during the rise of the Internet, when non-electronic means were still commonly used to get stuff done or find info. Which is fine for me, since I really don't like how hopelessly dependent my generation is on technology.

People who know me say I act like a black jazz player from the 50s. True story.
I dunno whether that makes me just behind the times, or so far behind that I'm actually ahead.
