I used it to shop for apartments, see my sister's condo 3000+ miles away, and plan roadtrips. I love it.

I went around my neighborhood with that. Obviously when I need to find a place, I also check to see any landmarks to recognize.

It's lots of fun to play with. My mother says that the camera drove past her in the "downtown" of her town...so she might be on there somewhere...

I love finding the screw ups like when the guy wrecked his bike, the house burning down and, the drunk guy passed out for example.

I use street view all the time. While it is easy to find something if you know where it is on the map, it is even easier to find it if you know exactly what the building looks like.
And I always love it when Google changes the icon around. On the anniversary of the moon landing, they made it into a little spaceman. On April Fool's day they made it into a panda.

I wish they'd update the maps though. I work at a Lowe's in Northeast PA and the building has been constructed for over three years now. In any online maps it's a truck stop. IT HASN'T BEEN A TRUCK STOP IN ABOUT 8 YEARS!
