It'd make sense for the invisible guy to be Hatred. Remember that the OSI doc was about to give him a shot when Brock walked away from the door...maybe invisibility was an unexpected side-effect? I think that's a bit of a reach. Plus the invisible guy looked a bit too skinny to be Hatred once he got shot with the paint. I'm sure we'll find out who it is by the end of the season.

Or maybe Limb built them back up and is going to try and destroy the guild?

Those are all old OSI members, and we have known about Shore Leave Holy Diver being out of OSI since season 2. It was something in passing.

We saw the end of Sphinx in that hilarious Season 3 GI Joe montage...Invisible Hand of Fate, I think. This new Sphinx is a creation of Col. Gathers for the purposes of keeping an eye on the Blackhearts. Kind of like how the OSI counters the Guild. At least, I think that's what they're doing.

I think the invisable man gag was just that. I mean, it could come up again, but I think the joke was on Brock.
All we really know about Fake-Cobra/Hydra is that they fought fake GI-Joe/SHIELD back in the 80s, currently employ ex-OSI agents, and are spying on fake DIVAS, and decided to kill Hitler. Other than an Egyptian Motiff. So I'm expecting their story to unravel a bit over the season, but it probably has something to do with ORB.

Huge fan of the show, this one was confusing but definitely interesting enough to get me prepped for the rest of the season.

Remember reading somewhere that ORB will figure into this season's story.
I missed the initial viewing so finally saw on AS.com and have avoided this thread until now.
I think they were trying a little too hard to be ABC's smash-hit drama Lost, but still an action-packed episode where a lot of doings a-transpired. They also crammed in references to almost every relevant major and minor character in the series so far. Dr. O's two buddies we'll probably see later in the series; Phantom Limb doesn't even seem important enough to bother with but we'll see.
To address some of the previous posts in this thread, Sgt. Hatred was already originally OSI, as seen in Season 3. After Brock & Hunter botch Master Billy Quiz Boy's mission, Brock is seen getting dressed down by a big fat red-haired OSI officer with Sgt. Hatred's voice. The OSI officer then pulls a Guild ring out of the desk and puts it on (which presumably marks the guy's switch to his Sgt. Hatred supervillain persona).

Yeah, but Freud also said "Sometimes you just wanna make out with your mom".

The invisible man moment was a joke, nothing more. Remember Jacob & the Technicolor Nightmare Coat? Or Kim's pledge?

Here's the real kicker: Why are they band together as part of the old "bad guys" team? [n]My theory:[/n] They found out OSI has gone bad, or something to that dire effect. Like "we're the good guys, suckahs!"

Yeah, Kim should be more than enough proof that not every off-handed comment or character on the show will have a call back. Many will, but not all.

But most of the fans still hold out hope that Kim will come back. Didn't Doc and Jackson say that they intended on bringing Kim back but they just keep on forgetting to or can't find the right place to fit her in?

Really?
I was under the impression, in alot of those comic con videos whenever fans asked about her, Doc Hammer would go off and mock them for basically caring too much about an irrelevant one-joke, one episode character. "You only care about her because she's hot."
Give the guy credit, he doesn't kiss nerd butt. Without being a jerk about it.

Well, if OSI are the good guys, and the cobra are the good guys, and the guild is a lot less evil than we thought, who the hell do we hate?
