Well, if OSI are the good guys, and the cobra are the good guys, and the guild is a lot less evil than we thought, who the hell do we hate? OSI. In the 3rd season, esp with those suits, I started to think the OSI is the bad group.

The invisible man moment was a joke, nothing more. Remember Jacob & the Technicolor Nightmare Coat? Or Kim's pledge? I thought it was Joseph and his Technicolor Nightmare Coat? Either way, pretty sure the preview for season four showed that he makes some sort of return. What fascinates me about this show is that they've managed to already create such a deep and interesting mythology so quickly. Sure, season 1 had some bumps which don't quite "jibe" with what we learned later (the whole Monarch/Phantom Limb/Dr. Girlfriend "first" meeting at the yard sale, when Monarch asks her if she used to work for Limb, even though it was later revealed that both were very aware of that fact). One question I have - If Rusty can create clones of Hitler and that kid that got mauled at the day camp, why can't he make more clones of Dean and Hank?

Either way, pretty sure the preview for season four showed that he makes some sort of return. What fascinates me about this show is that they've managed to already create such a deep and interesting mythology so quickly. And you know what? Unlike many programs, once VB mentions or features a certain event: They're mostly almost never directly referenced again. Have you ever noticed that? Its like they figure or realize that the fans already know most of that without having to be reminded. Not Contrast that with an episodic-chronology-don't-mean-spit like say Law & OrdeR: SVU where once every few episodes it seems that Mariska Hargitay's background is referenced. Because you know a show that has been around for a decade, people aren't aware. Remember how on The Simpsons, Bart was conceived around the time of Empire Strikes Back? 29 year old guy stuck in a 10 year old's body. I think its interesting the evolution of the Monarch character. First season, he's the humor antithesis of the comic book supervillain: Stupid theme, stupid base, stupid weapons/powers, stupid grudge against stupid (pointless) target, his best henchmen are pretty useless, etc. I mean taking a dump at his rival's house and not flush? That's petty weak. Well of course he would lose the girl and everything to the immaculate Phantom Limb. Why shouldn't he? Second season, not exactly that changed but a different perspective is put on him. Not a nicer or better person (still a loony creep missing a few marbles), but compelling for the underdog narrative against Limb. And give the guy credit, he didn't run away at the season finale. In spite of all his funny deficiencies...he possess a certain cavalier attitude rather missing a profession that was in VB rather become so highly regulated, sterilized and effectively legalized by the Guild playing ball with the police. And less fun. The guy likes being a melodramatic baddie with his silly costumes and speeches. Limb, from my perspective, treated it as an office job. A pretentious prick. Third season, funny how those flashbacks and some moments highlight that in fact, when he puts his mind to it, Monarch can be a rather competent villain, even one that could be feared. I mean remember him in first season then you see that flashback where he blew off Underbeicht's Jaw. Accident yeah, but still. Or that rather clever trick with the faux-explosion to save his base and men, and get what he wants.

Well I'll take a shot in the dark and say they wouldn't be Hank and Dean since the slugs are gone. They'd be babies who look like Hank and Dean, but wouldn't retain their memories. Old Doc Venture seems like the kind of person who doesn't want them to go through childhood (diapers, running around, etc.) again.

Re: Kim: I was under that impression too, they wanted to bring her back, but really had nothing to do with her. But again, when you introduce a new character, odds are, you should have some idea what you are going to do with them. She just shows up.
Re: Good Guys and Bad Guys: OSI: All OSI has really done in the last four episodes is send an unit to check in on Brock Sampson and why he's killing their assassins. They weren't trying to kill Brock, that was the Blackhearts who set that up. And we know Brock's suspicions are unfounded. So a mole is probably in OSI, but we'll have to wait to see. Blackhearts: Assassins, they kill people. Bad guys. The real question is, how did Brock find out about them? Sphrinx: Look, we know the least about this group, like almost nothing and if memory serves, Cobra would brainwash people into service. So what the heck is going on with this one? That cannot be answered as of right now. Besides, killing Hitler doesn't make you good. Stalin wanted Hitler dead, too. Nazis: Bad guys. Guild CI: I doubt their moral standing has changed.
Re: Mythology: Well, it's a pastiche, it's useful that we already know how things work.

Hank and Dean would have their memories because Dr. Venture would take nightly brain scans of them in their learning beds. 24 wouldn't have been so lucky, because he was already dead.

The thing is, the Guild was formed to defend ORB. It wasn't necessarily an evil group.
OSI seems like a bunch of patsies that are getting misled as much as Brock was.
Sphinx might be the "real good guys," or maybe just an org that will actually do something about the Blackhearts, while OSI might be too dumb or be in cahoots.
We don't know for sure yet and that's why this ep was so interesting. It answered a lot of questions but asked a whole lot more.

If I remember correctly, the Orb Episode established that Guild broke up into two branches, the Venture faction and the Telsa Faction. The Telsa Faction took the Path of Darkness, and became the modern Guild. The Venture faction presumbly dispanded after Sandow killed Venture and the orb was hidden. That doesn't answer a lot of questions, like what happened to the orb after Venture's death, or how the clues came to be.

Indeed, just hearing Kevin on Venture Bros is awesome. And we now know Billy's true age of 37. Nice, a parody of Justice League.
