I was so goddamn addicted to this game. Bowser constantly kicked my ass in Hard Mode.

I like it a lot, but honestly I prefer the one on the Virtual Boy. I lost many an hour to that game.

I played the hell out of Mario Tennis, both on N64 and Game Boy Color.

I love it, and still play it with my friends occasionally to this day. It's kind of unfortunate that the Mario sports games tend to get overlooked, because while many of them are mediocre, a few really are gems. This game and Mario Strikers Charged rank among some of my favorite multiplayer games of all time.

I like it a lot, but honestly I prefer the one on the Virtual Boy. I lost many an hour to that game. Same here. The N64 one was kind of dull, in my opinion. The Virtual Boy one at least had the benefit of the weird red and black aesthetics. Now Mario Golf 64? That was completely awesome, and the GameCube one actually surpassed it.

It gave us Waluigi, and for that I'm thankful.

Glad to see at least one person agrees with me here. I thought the VB one was just more intense and fast-paced, and generally just more fun. I really need to get my VB back up and working again so I can play it.

I picked up Mario Tennis on N64 last year, and I played some of that until I completed Tournament mode. I haven't played enough since.

Must confess never really got into the N64 game, but its GBC port ruled. Was hard as hell, but I had a blast with it.

I had someone plug my GBC version into the N64 to unlock the remaining characters I hadn't unlocked playing the damn thing when I was supposed to be paying attention in sophomore math class.
But if we're talking 64, I give the nod to Mario Golf. If Tiger Woods ever starts smoking crack...

One of the best games around. I just don't think they knew how to market because it had a kiddie exterior, but inside beat the heart of a rabid animal.
Woe to the child that lobbed a tennis ball back to Bowser or Wario expecting them to play nice like their parents.
