God, looking at Johnny Cage, that's how I feel anytime I watch Mortal Kombat: Annialation. Never thought I'd see a sequel for a movie where I would actually be wishing that Christopher Lambert had come back to play Raiden. I remember when I saw Mortal Kombat: The f***ering. I had gotten off of a 12 hour shift and slept until 2 in the afternoon. I woke up and I was in the mood for a movie, so I checked out the ppv on Satellite. And here it was, Mortal Kombat: The f***ering. I didn't have internet back then so I didn't know just how bad this movie was. I ended up buying the damn thing and I sat there, just dumbfounded by how shitty it was. You mean the movie was so bad that Christopher Lambert told the directors to go snork themselves and wouldn't replay the role of Raiden? This guy has been in some really horrible films, and he turned down this role? And the movie didn't make any snorking sense whatsover. And when I saw who they had replaced him with, I cringed. I know he's been in a lot of movies and television shows, but James Remar usually plays ever role the same. That works for you if you're Tommy Lee Jones, but not if you're James Remar. Oh god, he's just had some dreadful performances, even perhaps being the worst actor in 2 Fast 2 Furious, or as I like to call it, 2 Stupid 2 Watch. I admit, I got suckered into renting that and bringing it one weekend to a gathering. Imagine what was said to me after we viewed that movie. I pleaded ignorance, as I had never seen the movie before. And if the cartoon is even worse ... holy crap ...

I wish I hadn't.

Annihilation for too many characters, lame special effects, and a boring story. And legend begins for being Lame in all aspects of it's animation, having a lame plot, and just being boring. Also, i noticed that there was no Kano whatsoever in the animated movie. Kinda makes Sonya's involvement even more pointless.

I'm reminded of this pair of videos I watched on Youtube a few weeks back that had some weird moments from the series taken out of context and played together.
It's kombat time!

There was more recycled footage in the 30 or so minutes that crap ran than the entire Star Trek TV franchise.

Okay, upon further looking this isn't for the cartoon after all. Ignore what I said earlier. Still, remember renting a tape of this as a kid. All I can really remember is that it sucked.

I reviewed the other MK toon as well. While definitely not as bad as this one, It does suffer from trying to be more G.I Joe than Mortal Kombat.

I remember buying the VHS tape when this came out and I felt ripped off. They couldn't even fool a 10 year old.

Lol, Defenders of the Realm at least had a couple of decent episodes (the Smoke one and the final episode), which is more than I can say for this abomination.

I remember renting this when I was younger because I loved all things Mortal Kombat (I even liked Annihilation.) I remember liking it, then again all you had to do to hook me as a kid was have a bunch of characters I recognised

I remember buying the VHS tape when this came out and I felt ripped off. They couldn't even fool a 10 year old. I felt that way years ago when I went into a video store and rented The Great American Bash. If I had bothered to look, the thing was like 65 minutes so it was all condensed matches edited for viewing. And back then, we didn't even have an internet to bitch about it on. Imagine that ...
