imo, the best film I've seen all year.
Easily, the best acted film of the year--everyone from the one-liners to the leads does great work.
Now...probably wasn't the best idea seeing a movie that's ultimately about loneliness, by yourself, on Christmas....but despite that, had a wonderful time.
Funny. Sad. Probably will win some Oscars.

Way to spoil the whole meaning!
Just messing, I took my mom to see it and we both really enjoyed it. I'm not sure it will win anything, but it will definately be nominated for many. Granted it is a weak movie year, so it may yet sweep.

Going either later tonight or tomorrow. I've wanted to see this for a long time. I could have went to a free screening last week but it was the same night as the live RiffTrax Christmas special and there was no way I'd miss that.

I would have joined you if you bought me some popcorn. This movie is one on my must see list though, with Sherlock Holmes right behind it.

Have to admit it looks really intriguing, despite my specific hatred of George Clooney and my general hatred for the kind of film it appears to be (sentimental/bittersweet/"poignant").

Clooney intrigues me in that he's a great looking guy who's a phenomenal actor and has everything in the world going for him, and yet despite that I just can't be jealous of the guy. I mean, I'd even go gay for him.

Up in the Air was such a solid flick. I loved the characters and the plot grabbed me because of how non-specific it was, if that makes sense. The events seemed close to something that would happen in real life and I felt a connection with all of the characters.

I liked Up In The Air the same way I like Sideways. Both are very similar in terms of plot, but Up In The Air had this nice "in-the-moment" feel to it. Jason Reitman did a brilliant job directing this, especially adding the bits with the actual fired employees. And this film really opened my eyes to Vera Farmiga. In the nude scene with her, I'm not sure if that was her real ass or not, but still kudos to her, performance and body (or not).

Quite nice nudity in fact.
It also has the girl from Twilight. No, the other one. No, the dorky friend... the other dorky friend, yeah that one!

But it was probably the most perfect sideboob.
