He screwed up, admitted it, did his time, is apologizing for it and not hiding like others would, that seems pretty courageous to me. I am not saying I like what he did or am glad to see him back in the NFL so soon but, he isn't running from what he did or denying it. He is taking responsibility and, also trying to educate people about what he did so it doesn't happen again. Pffft. He admitted it AFTER he was backed into a corner so tight that he HAD to. He lied like a mother f***er until he had no choice and was going to jail anyways. Also, many people would argue he didn't do enough time and I'm one of them. As for apologizing, what else is he going to do? Laugh and tell everyone he'd do it again? The whole world knows what he did, he HAS to apologize or have no more carrer. As for the hiding thing, he can't hide as he's a freaking NFL celebrity. If he was Joe Blow in everyday life I'd be willing to bet money that he'd be hiding like anyone else. Michael Vick hasn't done anything to fix anything on his own. Everything he's done has only been when he absolutly HAD to or when it would 100% cost him his future carrer otherwise. Of course, I hated Vick before all this stuff happened let alone afterwords. So what I say has to be taken with a grain of salt. I am not going to argue with how light his sentence was because I agree and, about lying because, well, most in his situation would. I am just looking at the here and now. With as many people in the NFL who have done worse (IMO of course) and hide from the media, refuse to acknowledge what they did, do nothing to show remorse or repeat the same mistakes over and over again (Vick could end up that way but, I am giving him a chance), he at least is stepping up. Is it to save his career or try and make money or some other "stupid" reason, probably but, he is at least trying. He could have run to Canada or the UFL and flown under the mainstream radar or disappeared to work with people he knows to hide from the public but, he isn't. Other than the aforementioned Mike Zimmer (and now the Bengals as a whole), I cannot think of another person that I would think deserves this but, even then, this was an Eagles only award and not a league wide one.

I would love to see Michael Vick's 'courage' if he had to go through what those animals went through.

If you look at what the award is given out for, Vick does not deserve the award at all. I was reading an article where they mentioned 2 of the other winners this year; one was Mike Furrey who puts more money into helping his community than he makes in a year, and the other was Dawan Landry who almost got paralyzed last year and returned to play at a top level. Vick won why? because he's dealing with the backlash of something he brought upon himself.
I was listening to Mike & Mike this morning, and they read what Vick said after winning the award. I don't remember all of it, but he said he's been through more than any single person could even dream of. Schelereth's response to that was "ok everybody whose a cancer survivor or a veteran just got slapped in the face."
The fact also is that Vick was complaining around midseason because he didn't like how little he was being used and was saying he regretted signing with the Iggles. Mike Vick is everything that the Ed Block award is not.

Aaron, use your inside voice when talking to the media, didn't you learn nothing from Brett's media embarrassments?

Other than the aforementioned Mike Zimmer (and now the Bengals as a whole), I cannot think of another person that I would think deserves this but, even then, this was an Eagles only award and not a league wide one. What NFL player has ever been found and/or plead guilty, gone to jail, missed two years of football, and NOT fessed up and apologized? I don't know anyone. Sure there are a lot of players who have been accused of things (Ray Lewis for instance) and rather they did them or not, haven't admited to them, but the difference is those players didn't actually go to jail for them. They were let off the hook for whatever reason. As for going to Canada or the UFL, do you really think they would stop the media? Plus do you honestly think that was EVER on his mind? Let's see, play for millions in the NFL or thousands in some random place? The choice is pretty easy. On a side note, who in the NFL has done worse and been found and/or plead guilty for it? All I can really think of is Rae Carruth. I mean, I don't know much worse than brutally torturing and killing living creatures for fun AND (and this is the part that so many people forget) running an organized illegal crime ring (the gambling ring).

Insisting that the drama surrounding Brett Favre and coach Brad Childress has been blown out of proportion, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf reiterated that he will do whatever it takes to bring Favre back in 2010.
Brady Quinn's season-ending injury has been diagnosed as a mid-foot sprain in his left foot.

Aaron just spoke about an incident where he got bit, where as Favre always seems to change his story for the media and ESPN seems to love it. If they don't win the super bowl this year, they need the gunslinger in order for him to get money from the state for a new stadium.

We're talking about a QB arguing because he wants to play in an important game. lol

Aaron lied about an incident where he got bit. Tapp went on a Seattle-Area sports show and brought his helmet with him. He wears a full cage face-mask. Tapp put his helmet on, and none of the hosts in the studio could fit their arm through the face mask, with the exception of the tips of their fingers. How is a QB supposed to have accidentally have fit his whole arm through there? Edit: Tapp also wears a visor on his helmet, this making it even harder to fit limbs through his mask.

^I'm not sure he flat out lied to hurt another person's reputation. Have a look at these... Probably not a bite but something Tapp did obviously upset him during that play. Anyway, I hope it doesn't lead to any retaliation sacks tomorrow on A-Rod. -_- PS, I'm pretty biased so take what I say with a biased grain of salt.

I'm biased,too, so don't worry.
Its just that up to that point, and since that point, Tapp has been spotless. There are plenty of guy's on Seattle's D that I would believe did something like that, but not Tapp. He really likes the fact that he has a reputation for being clean.
Factor in Tapp's evidence, plus another thing Tapp brought up (the fact that this is the first time Rogers has said anything. Didn't talk about to the press, to the refs of the game, to the league, anyone, until now. Why not talk about it then? And why just bring it up for the first time now?)
Just seems like Rogers is trying to make this game a big deal when both teams know its not.

Yea I have no idea why you would bring something like this up in a random interview a year after the incident. Very odd for Rodgers because he's normally so quiet, which is a nice change of pace compared to some of the more marketable quarterbacks in the league.
I suppose Aaron might of been hyping the game a touch to get interest or intensity for it but it just seems completely random.
Oh and finally if you lose to the Buccaneers when you're ten points clear in the forth quarter or let in a touchdown in with three seconds to go, NO game is a fore-gone conclusion for Green Bay or the fans. >_<

Sunday will be interesting because both Green Bay and Seattle put up poor performances against Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay's only two wins this year.

Well if you're a Seattle fan I suppose the best way to look at it is you can't do much worse than lose 24-7 at home against Tampa Bay, so the only way is up at least.
