LOVED it!!!
Honestly, Inglorious Basterds was the first Tarantino film I ever watched all the way through, and it was my favorite movie of 2009. Now I intend to watch the rest of them.
*No one spoil part 2 for me, watching that one tomorrow. ;D*

I saw it in 05 and it was the first Tarantino film I had seen. I was just blown away at how awesome it was on several levels. I got the homage to the Bruce Lee jumpsuit and have managed to make out the others as I saw stuff over the years. Great film, it's my 3rd favorite of his after seeing all of them now (Pulp Fiction being first, Inglorious Basterds second).

The only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that Uma Thurman looked like she was waving a wiffle ball bat during the big fight.

My favorite Tarantino film by far...along with Vol. II. It helps matters that part of it takes place in El Paso, my hometown.

I loved this and I loved the second and supposedly Quentin has a part 3 planned but it won't be made for a few years or so.
He also is supposed to release a "super edit" of the films (part 1 and 2) to create his "ultimate vision" of the film. That was announced about 5 years ago and still no sign of it on the horizon.
Look out for the actor who plays the sheriff from part 1 in a cameo in part 2. I have seen part 2 just as much as the first and it took me a while to spot him. I couldn't get over it.
The sheriff also appeared in From Dusk Till Dawn, Planet Terror, Death Proof.

#1 is amazing, but I always preferred Volume 2. Without spoiling too much, I'll just say the fighting is toned town in #2 and there is a heavier emphasis on the story. They're both great and definitely exceeded my expectations.
