I thought 22's crowd made the atmosphere.
24 on the other hand, the outside arena just made the crowd seem like they weren't into the show at all.

Wrestlemania 13. Not only was it one of the worst Wrestlemania's of all time, the only match that got any sort of build up was Bret and Austin. Even the Taker/Sid match was only built up for about a month.
Wrestlemania 18 also didn't seem to have as stacked of a card as others. The only Wrestlemania worthy match on the card (IMO) was Rock vs. Hogan. HHH and Jericho was a big deal to me at the time, but in retrospect it was executed very poorly.
Otherwise, I think that every Wrestlemania since 2000 have come across as huge shows. Even WM 25 came off as a big show to me because of the hype going into it. The main event didn't deliver, but the rest of the show was as good as expected.

I definetly agree with all of that. The recent Wrestlemania, have really dropped in "must see"-ness. The cards don't really seem as innovative as like those times in attitude era, or even during the start of the brand split. What happened? It's like some of those matches I could see on Raw or a regular ppv.
Now days the only must see ppv for me is the Royal Rumble.

WM just has to be fresh. 25 was one of the least fresh WM's EVER. Orton/HHH already had a well developed feud not too long ago. John Cena Edge and Show had already faced each other in NUMEROUS encounters including LONG feuds between Cena/Show and Cena/Edge. HBK/Taker was fine because they had not faced in 12 YEARS (unless you count Taker/Tista vs Cena/Michaels, which obviously was not singles). Add that to a joke of an IC title match (no match), no tag team, kid rock, and a joke battle royal and there you go. MITB is what it is, a spotfest to get the crowd hot. Hell, even Hardy/Hardy has happened before!! WM 19 was the last REALLY big one, i agree. HBK's first WM back, and a great build with Y2J. Angle/Lesnar were as anyone, and they had really good build. Rock/Austin final encounter speaks for itself. Hogan/Vince was fun. HHH/Booker was okay, but fresh. And there was some random good tag match if i remember correctly. Probably with Eddie since i don't remember him doing anything else. 20 was still kinda big, but it was fun in the other way with the WCW guys getting their "due". And the hollywood feel made it fun, and they did it up right. Ever since then though it's been really meh and really predictable. HBK and Undertaker have really carried like EVERY WM since then, with their matches ALWAYS being the best in the card by a ton. It's no surprise when you put them in the same match at 25 you get one incredible match and subpar everything else. HBK/Taker faced off at RR 98. You mean 11 years.
