Not good.
No JR this week only made me realize how terrible Todd Grisham really is. Matt Striker tried and failed to cover up for Todd's suckage on Friday.
As for the new guy on ECW.......haven't actually seen him.
But on a lighter note, here's hoping JR gets well soon.

That really sucks bigtime. JR being out is bad, but Striker being off ECW just makes the entire situation worse.

Ruh-roh. Hoping JR a speedy recovery.
And Grisham is OK if he doesn't blather, which he usually doesn't. The dynamic of Striker going on and on and Grisham shutting him up on occasion works just fine.
Grisham doesn't have the chops to ramble on and on about statistics and title win histories and international wrestling styles like JR, but fortunately, he seems to know his limits.

He isn't Striker or JBL level good, but he has a good voice and sounded enthusiastic about what was going on. He is better than Grisham at least. |

Not good no, and frankly I don't care about the temporary commentary placements at the moment...JR's state of health is more important to me. I'd hate to see him have to end his commentating days like this.

You can easily forget how great Jim Ross is at his job, even today where hes lost considerable speed off his fast ball he still stands out from the rest IMO. He's a dying breed of announcers that still makes you feel like a match has some semblence of importance.

What I fear is if he is out for an extended period of time, mcmahon will come to the conclusion they can get along fine without him. We all know how slimebaggish mcmahon is so I would not be shocked if he doesn't bring him back.
