Now I kinda liked him on the million dollar tough enough and was glad he later got signed but heard that most of the IWC hated him for whatever reason.
Was it because Stephanie hand picked him as ready?
I never saw a match of his so I cant comment on that. The only time I saw him on TV was the night of Vinces limo explosion but yeah what was the deal with him?

I've seen a match when he was touring with the RAW brand back in '07. Rodimer was generic as one could get: he looked like Masters with an even lousier moveset.

I too saw him at a house show, versus Eugene. It was, without a doubt the worst WWE match I ever saw live and it definitely wasn't Eugenes fault. Rodman looked completely lost.
Plus he was, as said, extremely generic. In fact I totally forgot he even existed until now. Only reason I remember him is because that match was so bad.

That was the exact match I seen. 3/25/2007, last house show at the old Toledo Sports Arena.

We both got crap from a bunch of kids for cheering Edge against Cena in the main event.

A few reasons.
-Called up too early. -Was cookie cuttered -Stephanie saw something in him
Dan Rodman, I loved in TE 4. And I was really happy to see him get a shot. But, then they cut his hair, and they just cookie cuttered him right to hell. And they didn't give him a long enough chance to hone his skills. He had potential, but that's the problem with WWE developmental. It's not FCW's fault (or in the past, OVW) that WWE calls up guys too early. Ricky Ortiz is another example. The guy was wrestling for a year and a half when they called him up. He was trained in OVW to wrestle and was signed when they saw him on tv. Ricky has a ton of potential, and I thought he was gonna be something. But they called him up long before he was ready, and he couldn't reach the potential that I felt he had.

Well, I had no clue he was even from TE, I just assumed he was going to be a jobber in the match I saw but he ended up winning it. I will say this: he made Ricky Ortiz look like Bret Hart from what I saw. You are right though...often these guys get called up way too early, they get 6 months to improve or get over and when they dont WWE just drops them. Its definitely not fair, its like WWE expects them to be Kurt Angle.

The guy was just not good in any way, shape, or form. I saw him in DSW fighting Jake Hager(Jack Swagger), and he was just the absolute shittiest wrestler that I can ever remember seeing in DSW.

He was pure shit. I mean, just god awful in the ring. I really cannot get across how awful he is/was.

I believe his name was Dan Rodimer. And I haven't seen jack from him. Judging from the responses from this thread, I'm really glad I haven't.

Why did I hate Daniel Rodimer? Dear god, it was how during Tough Enough, he never did a goddamned THING but chew gum while smacking his lips loudly, and tousle his own hair about.
At least everyone else showed SOME sort of effort in the little time they had.

His real name was Rodimer but, he went by Rodman for his second dark match run. Fixed; he actually went by Rodimer during his first house show/dark match run in early-to-mid 2007.

G-Rilla is on line 2... Ya know what? I'll give G-Rilla credit. Not as an inring guy in any way, shape or form, but he evolved from a completely useless and bland heel to an actually slightly charismatic babyface. Yes, he sucked as a wrestler, but he connected with the audience near the end of his run.

He had a match on Heat once I recall, I think that was against Eugene as well.

He was absolutely terrible in the ring, and he looked like someone combined Heidenreich with Giant Randy Orton and turned the "Generic" up to "Overdrive." It's a wonder he wasn't gone sooner.

Also, he was over 5'8" which is the ultimate sin on these boards. If he were smaller, he would be pegged as a guy with a ton of potential and room for improvement. Since he's a big guy, however, he's pegged as a no-talent hoss who can never amount to anything.

Doesn't matter how big or small a wrestler is. Look at Jack Swagger or Sheamus. They're both larger than average (especially Sheamus), but because they're good wrestlers, they're recognized and treated as such. But Rodimer was a terrible wrestler, plain and simple.
