I was watching ECW's November to Remember 2000 last night, and they had an original-type match (in that I've never seen it done in WWE, WCW, TNA, or any of the other places) that made me wonder if it could be duplicated.
They had what was called a "Double Jeopardy" match, where two different matches were going on at the same time in the same ring. The matchups were set up as Jerry Lynn vs. Justin Credible for the ECW title and the Sandman vs. Steve Corino. Only Jerry Lynn could pin Credible, Credible could only pin Lynn, Sandman could only pin Corino, and Corino could only pin Sandman. You could still fight with the other 2 guys, but you could only pin your opponent.
It might help incorporate some other feuds into the PPVs, like Christian and William Regal, for instance, who could fight at the same time as Mysterio and Batista, for instance.
What do you guys think?

I personally think it would get very confusing, though I'd like to see how it works. It all depends if WWE could pull that kinda thing off.

JB says thank you for reminding him of this. He'll be pitching it to Russo in the morning.

WWE couldn't get an Invasion angle to work. Probably the easiest angle ever to book! You also had Paul Heyman on your payroll and he became a member of creative after!

I'm struggling to think of ways to make this idea even sillier.
Perhaps every five minutes, a bell rings and everyone's opponents are randomly switched, so they'd have to pin someone else to win?
And they won't be paired off, either. Wrestler A has to pin wrestler B, but B will have to pin Wrestler C to win, and so on.
Ooh, ooh! And one guy is allowed to win on a two-count pin, but he isn't told which opponent he is allowed to pin, so he has to figure it out through trial and error!

It was a pretty stupid concept to me.
So to answer, could WWE make it work? Probably. Would there be a point in them attempting it? I cant think of any.
If WWE wants to curb from ECW concepts I would rather they take ones from back when it was actually good, not the year 2000 decline.
