Somehow, this will all lead to Cena defending Hornswoggle, and DX being heel until they point out that Horny was trying to steal from them, making Cena doubt himself, at which time he goes out to confront Horny who makes the puppy dog eyes and Cena gives him a title shot. Horny wins when he tries to drop an anvil on Cena but winds up accidentally dropping a cardboard cut-out of Jim Neidhart on his head. THe ref counts the fall, but then realizes that the cardboard cut out actually made the initial cover, and is awarded the title. THe next week, the real Jim Neidhart shows up to claim the title, but is run over by a remote control car and sells it like he's been shot by a Howitzer. Horny then steals the title leading to an "end of the rainbow" match in which Cena, Trips, and Shawn must wrestle dressed as the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow respectively. Santino runs in dressed as Dorothy, makes the cover, and becomes the new champion. *wipes away a single tear* It's...........beautiful. Book it, Vince. Book it right now.

Hornswoggle is going to win the WWE Championship, obviously. And I GUAREN-DAMN-TEE that if that ever really DID happen, you would still have people defending it on here. "We finally get someone new as champion and you people still complain! The IWC is never happy!

We would get people defending it, but there'd be just as many people who would be "done with WWE," but still stick around the boards and bitch about WWE, 24/7.

I sort of hope Hornswoggle does win the title.
Only something as undefendable as that would unite the entire board.

Nothing short of a black hole could unite this board.

Besides, you know it would be short (again, teehee).

People keep saying the title match doesn't have a plot. I guess you skipped that 15 minutes of "Can D-X be on the same page? Is the goal to simply beat Cena, or will it truly be every man for himself?"
It's not exactly Citizen Kane, but it's an angle, and not a very hard one to understand.

I haven't really observed anything like that at all, I must admit. I did skip out on the second half of Raw this week because I was tired, in truth, but yeah.

Cena spent like the entire time on commentary promoting that aspect during the main event. The thing with Hornswoggle got like 5 minutes, tops. It's really weird what stands out with people more, I guess.

Well, seeing as how this DX/Hornswoggle thing has been going on for a few weeks now, and Cena has only begun trying to sell anything for this main event this past week...yeah...

Agreed, but honestly...that's super weak. I mean, unless the WWE has sprouted some grapefruits, there's not a chance in HELL HBK is walking out champion, and I don't think HHH is going over here either. Which leaves Cena benefitting from the "dysfunction" of DX and retaining. *YAWN* To be honest, I wish they WOULD put Michaels over. It would be fresh, shocking, and would honestly make RAW a must see TV show for the first time in AGES.

Well, sure. However, what HBK can't do compared to Cena is also important. Shawn has about 0% chances of doing the same amount of house show dates, has no possibility of doing the promotional appearances and meeting the press, and frankly, his past could be an issue. Maybe it doesn't matter to most of us, but his former drug abuse and incidences from his past could harm the company image. I personally don't think that is the case, but some people in management likely do.

Michaels as champ would be a change of pace, but I'd rather not see it happen.
The big reason being that Michaels is someone I've never really flat-out enjoyed. Sure, he's great at what he does, but I usually pretty much find myself dreading whenever he returns from an injury abruptly into a title feud, and I usually am only mildly interested in his creative direction at a given time. Dunno what it is that causes this, but yeah.
Besides that, though, is the Orton factor. If Michaels or Trips wins, we get Orton right back in the damn main event mix, while he's in his first interesting feud in like three years at the moment.

Raw definitely seems to be a place for McMahon to experiment in ways to get higher ratings. It basically turns me a way from the product though. I see what he's doing and why, but its just not for me. The same with 'Taker on SD. The guy makes a ton of cash for WWE, but 10 minute intros, the same stale promos from 10 years ago and matches that are almost embarassing to watch.
WWE has a some great talent that's not really being put to use. As I said - I understand why, but it just turns me off to the product.

I'm glad Taker is around and all, but at the same time, it's becoming clearer he needs to pass the torch to someone who can run with it.
