If the man wanted anything to do with pro wrestling, he would have been back in WWE long ago.

If the greatest announcer in the history of this industry were to show up on WWe programming, I'd mark out like a pre-teenage girl at a Hannah Montana concert.* * I can't believe I just said that....but it's the truth.

For those of you youngsters who don't know who Sean Mooney or the WWF Event Center are.....
My fellow oldschoolers...enjoy the nostalgia.
I should note it this desperately needs more Lord Alfred Hayes promoting Coliseum Videos.

Here is my biggest question...Why the hell do we need 3 sets of announcers anyway? I mean the tapings are literally Monday and Tuesday...is it that hard to do 2 nights of work a week and one Sunday a month? Just let J.R. and Striker or even 3 man with J.R. Striker and King do all the shows and be done with it.

I never thought I would see the day either, where I would miss Tony. Back in the WCW days I would make a game of pointing out his miscalls and hyperbole. Despite that though, he is ten times better than any of these play by play guys WWE have dug up since then. My favorite Schiavoneism wasn't even the oft quoted GREATEST NIGHT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR SPORT! It was how he called at least ten different moves a "Sidewalk Slam."

"He ( Sean Mooney) reappeared on WWE TV for one time only in October 2005, during the pre-show to WWE Raw's "Homecoming" to the USA Network. The pre-show simply ran through some past moments of RAW on the USA Network, with several people involved with the WWE during the first years of Monday Night Raw, including Mooney, sharing their memories of the WWE during that period."
I don't remember it but apparently he is in good terms with the wwe.

I am just shocked that Steve McMichael hasn't been mentioned yet.
Come to think, I am not sure what Scott Hudsons status is or if he has any interest but he would be a GREAT choice, I always thought he was extremely underrated.

Umm... was there... did she... umm... how do i say this... umm, was there any nudity? ACCHHH!!! Kill it, kill it with fire!!!! Seriously, I think the biggest problem with the announcers in the WWE is that they all have like the same personality. Todd Grisham and Josh Mathews seem almost identical and Michael Cole just comes off as there almost-identical older brother. Other announcers that the WWE has cycled through lately like Jack Corpella, Steve Romero, Mark Lloyd and even all the way back to Kevin Kelly have been like that too. Coach was on his way to being that before he became awesome. So far this new guy, Byron Saxton, also just seems to be heading in the same direction. Although I guess this is nothing new, I didn't realize that Craig DeGeorge and Sean Mooney were two completely different people until like WrestleMania V. And if we're throwing out ridiculous choices to return to the broadcast booth, I'd like to add my own - Rob Bartlett. Hey, for better or for worse, he always made RAW feel "different" when he was on it.

I think there is one easy way to solve this problem. One hope for the hopeless. A man who's sheer skill behind the mic would literally cause the ratings to jump a full point.

I hope they're unhappy with the Raw announce team, because I like Striker on SD and Todd isn't so bad. King and Cole don't even seem like they care anymore.

Why are they homegrowing the commentators anyway? Ex-wrestlers made the best commentators - Ventura, Monsoon, Heenan, Savage, Perfect, Lawler (mid-late nineties), Taz (early 2000s), JBL. Why do they all have to be twenty-something dorks now?
