I thought he was a good guest host for a GREAT Raw.
That said, he constantly repeated things throughout each of his promos (except the last one). I mean, the him and Vince backstage segment, he says the same stuff like three times before giving Vince the suit.
He just seemed really rambling and oldschool in a way that didn't appeal to me. But goddamn, he was working with top notch stuff. That last promo on Cena blew my mind.
Did the rambling and repetition bother anyone else?

As someone who grew up on (or at least aged to), 80s WWF I could have listened to Jesse read the phone book and thought it was awesome. I thought Piper was way more wierd/rambling than Jesse was.

To me, it was just Jesse Ventura and it was awesome. Needed more "Gorilla", though.

I thought it was the best Raw in months and Jesse was outstanding.
He has a great speaking voice in my opinion and I loved how he wasn't friends with DX or Cena. He was the Jesse we all remembered.
Best ever Guest Host.

He's the only guest host that didn't sound wooden...or lit up on something...when he was talking. I just absolutely loved his banter with Vince when he was announcing the battle royal. I'm hoping King and Cole took notes.

I thought he was the same old high-quality Jesse.
Although, that last "go along to get along" promo on Cena got him serious heel heat with me (at least), since I thought that was hogwash. A Cena rebuttal would have been great, but Sheamus had other ideas.

I thought Piper rambled a lot more, and thought that was more annoying. Piper though, when he actually gets to the meat of his promo, delivers it AMAZINGLY well, and maybe the ramble surves to accentuate the awesomeness that's to come a few seconds later, like a calm before the storm.
Ventura was a fantastic speaker though.

I've been looking for the right place for this...but he lost alot of credibility when he referred to "The Clock of Time" and Randy Orton's "Persistancy"

At times he was a little grating, but he was still the best guest host they've had yet. DiBiase was close though.

No complaints from me, but Ventura was my favorite commentator as a kid and also my favorite commentator ever, so I may be biased.

That's just an old school way. 2. It was also probably because he was improvising. 3. After all the repetition WWE has been doing for the last several years, I've gotten use to people repeating stuff.

I thought he was great. But I grew up with his commentating, and I love almost anything old-school more than the current crap WWE puts out regularly.
