Yes I think he should, I'd like to see how he does as the focal point of the show though I don't think he'll be anywhere close to Christian's level as champ. I just want Christian to work with the big dogs now, seeing him in the ring with Punk and Orton recently has been great, he should be working with guys as good as he is.

He shouldn't win the title, but at this point, anything to get the title off Christian so he can move on. Not only do I want him to jump to Smackdown, but Smackdown needs him. And for that, someone else needs to win the ECW Title. Anyone. Hell, I'd be happy if Tyler Reks won the title.
So, I voted no. Because I don't want Shelton Benjamin to be ECW Champion, because frankly I think WWE missed the boat on the guy ages ago. But, I'd still be happy that Christian lost the belt so he could finally get off ECW and into a top spot on one of the other shows on Smackdown.

If Shelton wins, its just because there's pretty much no-one else on ECW for him to face. Unless there's another influx of new talent due. Anyone know anything much about FCW?

Yes, this is the time to take the strap off of Christian to move him to Smackdown, while Shelton will be a steady hand to help develop the new guys on ECW.
Christian as a main-event babyface will help Smackdown A LOT.

I want Christian to lose the belt at Wrestlemania in a fatal four way with Benjamin, Yoshi, and Ryder

If he's going to los it anytime before WM It'll be here. WWE has always seen the ECW title as a C-list, or at the very least Midcard title, A title change at a "new (read: Transitional or skippable)" PPV could help elevate the belt and as many have said would at the very least free up Christian to do other things.

I wanted to vote yes, but decided on no. I like the run Christian is on and all the matches seem meaningful. Every time he steps into the ring it seems it's for the title or fighting guys on his level. Keep it on him until the perfect situation arises.

Christian as a main-event babyface will help Smackdown A LOT. I completely agree. SmackDown's main event is incredibly lopsided in favor of the heels right now. They have Jericho, Punk, Batista, and Big Show (technically a RAW wrestler, but he's on SmackDown every week) all as heels. The main event faces consist of Undertaker, Kane, and Rey Mysterio who is out with another injury. Edge is out so long that he doesn't even factor into the equation right now. They desperately need someone like Christian on that show.

Shelton is overdue for a title reign. Christian is needed on Smackdown. It´s pretty obvious.
Either way, I expect a great match from these two.

I think it might be the perfect opportunity to take the belt off him yes. I can't see a defeat in this match making Christian weak. Plus he can play up his success in ladder matches in the build up to Shelton who, to my knowledge, has never won one.

Yes he should.
Even if you don't like the guy, you have to admit he's a hell of a company man. Making big spots, helping others look good and midcarting for 7 years. He should at least get an ECW title run.
Besides, the posibilities of a Regal/Benjamin feud are endless.

I think it's nearing time for Christian to be dropping the belt, but I don't think Shelton is the one that should pick it up.

No.
I've never bought Shelton as a top guy on a brand. Never against Triple H, never even against the Hardyz. I've always felt they booked him on the card where he belonged, and leading ECW isn't that place. Leave it on Christian for a while longer.

I love both. I love Ladder matches. Needless to say, I'm excited. That said, I think Shelton should only get the belt if Christian is moving to another brand. Christian is such a good ECW Champion that he should only lose if he's moving on to bigger and better things.

Yes.
Shelton Benjamin has been the man FOREVER, and has gotten slightly better on the mic.
I'm a fulltime Sheltophile.
