Why do people root for the continued existance of the BCS System? Why do people bitch about little things that they can not change?

Can they kick out Iowa State and put TCU in the Big 12? Or hell just bring back the Southwest conference? Why Iowa State? Why not Colorado, K-State, Kansas, or Baylor? At least State is going to a bowl game this year. Hell, they beat Nebraska worse than Texas did. ;D

Just like how Alabama was better than Utah last year and how Oklahoma was a far superior team to Boise in '05. And THANK YOU. But no, they were just "disappointed" and "let down" by their opponents TCU and their Top 4 offense and Top 4 defenses are going to get someone in a BCS game, they're going to beat their asses, and I'm just hoping it's Florida they get a crack at. I dont want to come off annoying or anything, and im a fan of TCU, but rankings in College Football shouldnt ever really be used. No one really plays the same people, rankings dont tell anyone how good a team is. Texas averaged more points and the same yards as TCU on offense coming into this game, and had comparable defensive stats. But you know what that means? Nothing really, cause who knows how to compare the Big 12 to the Mountain West.

Suh has no shot because he's defense, but he dominated tonight and cemented he'll be the number 1 pick in the Draft. Tebow and McCoy were shut down in the biggest game of the season for each guy. Suh won't be #1 in the draft, because the Rams fail.

Top 4 offense, and Top 4 defense IN THE MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE. Lets remember that. Yeah, they could have been from a real pathetic conference like the Big 10 or the Big 12.

In this case, asses in seats will trump television ratings.

Roll your eyes if you like, but that's exactly why those games turned out how they did. Top 4 offense, and Top 4 defense IN THE MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE. Lets remember that. Look, I'm all for someone like Utah getting their shot last year when they were the only unbeaten. I also understand that they would have been completely annihilated by Florida How do you know that if Utah never gets the chance? The little guys out of the MWC defeated Alabama without breaking a sweat while Florida needed an amazing 4th quarter to beat that same Alabama team. That doesn't even make sense dude. The game is a month away so Florida should have already come to grips with the fact that they aren't playing for a national championship.

Why do people root for the continued existance of the BCS System? Why do people bitch about little things that they can not change? Because apathy and resigning oneself to a reality where three undefeated teams are told to screw off is tapioca?

Look, I'm all for someone like Utah getting their shot last year when they were the only unbeaten. I also understand that they would have been completely annihilated by Florida TCU probably will beat Florida in the Sugar Bowl. Good for them if they do. But if you don't think Florida's extreme disappointment about being there is a factor you're kidding yourself. I agree with you guys on the system being terrible, and I'd love to see Cincinnati and TCU get their shot. But it is what it is, and it's giving us what it's designed to do. Matching up the two teams who had the most impressive regular seasons. We need to quit acting like Nebraska is West Texas State or something. Are you in these player's heads or something? I just want to know, since you're so insistent on making that stupid excuse. Oklahoma couldn't have been too damn apathetic, they hung 42 points in the game. TCU is actually legit this year. More than Boise who I was riding most of the season. TCU didn't struggle in half their games against inferior competition. They actually took games against teams from good conferences. That win at Clemson was great for them. Not just winning at BYU, but THRASHING them at BYU's place was shocking. That same team that beat Oklahoma on a neutral field. They crushed nearly everyone, they played a few damn good teams, what the hell more do they need to do before people stop treating them like an afterthought? It's like St. Joes in basketball in 2004. They played in a mediocre conference, but last I checked they were legit one of the best teams in the country. You get the right combo of kids and it's possible. That fact that you're already saying they'll only beat Florida because Florida won't care (it's Tebow's last game, you think he isn't going to care?) is pretty damn insulting to them and the season they've had.

Suh won't be #1 in the draft, because the Rams fail. Rams don't need defense as much as offense. That said Spaugnolo is a defensive guy so I could see him doing it. If the Lions can get him and they don't, THAT will be a fail.

However as long the NCAA values $$$$ over their actual responsibilities, it will never happen.

Alright, I'm going to try and be as calm as I can, without going into Red Hulk mode.
That was the biggest load of crap I have ever seen. Yeah, our kicker kicked it out of bounds, which was incredibly stupid. That's not what I'm extremely pissed about.
What I'M pissed about is the ref job. All night, and I mean ALL NIGHT, the Texas O-line was holding Suh. ALL NIGHT. And not once, NOT ONCE, did the refs call it. They call all sorts of other stupid penalties, like the one Pass-Interference call where the ball was clearly over their heads. But not one holding call on the OL for holding Suh. Hell, Suh was making sacks WHILE being held. And that fatass of a official does nothing.
The NCAA really needs to up its standards for officiating. Like maybe have them IN SHAPE. And take an eye exam monthly.
Also, f*** the BCS. Division I-A needs a playoff. There is no way that Texas deserves to go to the title game. And I'm a Big-12 believer. I'm the biggest goddamn Husker fan on this forum. TCU vs. Alabama would be WAY more entertaining than the execution known as Alabama v. Texas.

I just want to reiterate since I think it'll be lost in the debates about the BCS, but Ndamukong Suh had one of the best, if not the best, defensive performances from any defensive tackle I can remember in college football. He was a monster on every drive and played perfect football. I wouldn't be surprised if he went #1 despite whatever needs the top team may have, that was just an amazing performance.
