There wasn't really much of a story to it, not that that was the reason I wanted to see it in the first place, but the action scenes were very well done.

Yeah, I'd say about half the movie is Raizo fighting like 20 other ninjas at once.

The story is a total after thought in the movie. Hell, you could totally take out the female lead and still have the same movie. But it was what it promised it would be. A badass action movie.

Hey. A late-arriving crowd to this thread. Did everybody just get sick of all the New Moon hype and go to this movie just to give their money to ANYTHING else like I originally did? ;D

I just read they literally wrote the script in 60 hours.
I enjoyed this movie, but it made no damn sense.

Hey. A late-arriving crowd to this thread. Did everybody just get sick of all the New Moon hype and go to this movie just to give their money to ANYTHING else like I originally did? ;D I told this cute little bartender I know earlier tonight that I went to the best movie playing this weekend, and that movie is Ninja Assassin. She wants to see Twilight: New Moon, and her boyfriend hasn't gone to it yet. Probably because he's bought her a ring and they've only been doinking for about 6 months and can't afford it ... Anyway, I went with a bud of mine and I say it didn't disappoint. I actually wanted a little more ninja assassining (I made that word up for this movie, it should really be assassinating, I know), but there was enough in it for all. I really hated what the Wachowski Brothers did with Speed Racer, so I did have a few doubts about seeing this film. Boy am I glad I watched it on the big screen. I had heard it described as more like a video game than a movie, but I have to say I liked the awesome yet cheesy silliness I saw. But it worked well. Hell, I may see this one again. When I left the theatre, one of the guys working there asked me if the movie was good. I told him that yes it was, it had Ninjas doing what you expect. Then he said that he had heard bad things about it from the reviewers. I told him what may have been my most insightful thought of the day ... "You see those old 80's action films with ninjas in them? This is like those movies on crack." I like this movie a lot. Sure, it was somewhat dumb and didn't make a whole lot of sense, but really, in a movie called Ninja Assassins, are you expecting to see Shakespearean type story lines? Hell no, you go to see Ninjas doing some assassining, and there is assassining going on all over the place. And yes, I know, it's not a word ... but it goes so well with this movie so I'm keeping it. ;D If you like mindless action movies with not much of a storyline but lots of death and destruction doled out, do yourself a favor and catch this one. Expect an assault on 2 of your senses, as it is quite loud and visual at times.

I enjoyed it. Who doesn't like to see ninja's slicin' limbs and heads off? That tatooist in the beginning.

I thoght the movie was awful. I will never forget the fact that they had to CGI ketchup in this movie. Seriously, when your that damn lazy that you need to have someone animate ketchup on fries that's when you need to stop pretending your a director.
