Not bad, the gay undertones like the ship and robot hand were gold.

Funny stuff. Definitely an improvement over last weeks review, which I thought was just average.
I can't wait for the Star Wars Holiday Special review. When people say it's one of the worst things ever made, they're not exaggerating. His take should be interesting.

When George Lucas, the man who released 40 different versions of the Original Trilogy won't unleash it on the public, you know it's awful.

Ok I love most of Doug's work but I have to say a couple of things about this...
How are gay jokes funny? Did I grow up in a different generation because to me it's not politically correct to make fun of some one's sexual preference. Now I'm not denying there might be some symbolism in He-Man or the premise of the character (a bit like Xena and lesbianism) but how exactly is it comedic gold? It's funny to be gay so any symbolism towards that preference is hilarious? Yet in every other review he feels inclined to mention how hot actresses get (Full House review) or how it helps movies to have hot chicks in them?
Finally who gives a s*** if a character has underlying gay overtones, it's not evil or going to corrupt the minds of little idiots. Doug himself pointed this out when mentioning Ren and Stimpy and their interaction with each other, it didn't matter and the creator himself said it wouldn't matter either way.
A lot of internet critics have made PC f*** ups like this especially Spoony, British accents = Gay, and I'm really tired of it. Unless you have a sense of humor I can't possibly understand, there isn't anything about sexual preference to ridicule or belittle.
Ok so may be I'm going over the top here about an internet comedy review and I do apologize if I have taken some of his comments out of context but this review and to a lesser extent the Masters Of The Universe review are really offensive to me.

Personally I think most of the humor about the gay undertones just comes from the fact that they would put those undertones in a kid's cartoon in the first place. It's out of place but hilarious, kind of like Nightmare on Elm Street 2.

If you can make fun of sexual undertones in this world, you can make fun of gay sexual undertones. It is about equal opputunity in making fun of things. I think the PC Crap is just that.....crap. If we cant make fun of overtly gay things.....we then cant make fun of overtly heterosexual things. And if you cant make fun of things or have a sense of humor about anything, then you have no soul. A sense of humor makes us all not be all miserable beings. Please dont ever bring this PC crap in here ever again.

^I can respect your opinion on the *everything is funny or nothing is* subject and it really is down to personal opinion about how you view certain subjects and as such reviewers, comedians, musicians (etcetera) comes down to you and what you agree with or what you would call entertainment.
That being said, why are you so offended by the concept of political correctness? It's a necessity if you work in the public services or in the public eye so saying you're not allowed to bring it up on a message board where there are accepted rules on being politically correct seems very narrow minded and ignorant.
Anyway on the review finally, I can safely say I've lost respect for Doug and his level of humor the last couple of months, almost like how I lost respect for James Rolfe developing copromania with his AVGN character.

Cut and paste time!
Didn't care for the vomit joke, but the rest of the stuff was absolutely top flight, and this is coming from someone who still does enjoy He-Man and She-Ra, even if it is a bit of a niche.
From the making sure we never find out what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown, to Swift Wind's chain smoking to the unbelivably phallic ship to the looming threat of the Star Wars Holiday Special, this was fantastic and I'm already sharing links with friends.
Well done again.

Speaking of gay overtone jokes...(Copyright RD Reynolds)
Did anyone catch that he in fact made a gay joke about 2 in? Or was it just me?

I can't stop laughing at He-Man going "Who are your friends" the voice the actor said it in was so funny to me for no reason at all, but yet it tickled me in such a way.
