So I'm trying to call out to a friend who is long distance and I keep getting the message "Your call cannot be completed as dialed, please read your instruction card and try again." I've called my Phone company's support line, and they have no idea what it is, and even say that their company does not give out that message. Does anyone know what the hell is going here?

Sounds like your phone is roaming onto another network. See if there is a way to turn roaming off, then make your call again.
Then again, if your phone is roaming, it means you have little to no signal in that area... What is your cell service provider?

Are you entering the number correctly?
1-area code-phone number?

Are you entering the number correctly? 1-area code-phone number? Yup. I even did a three way call with the customer support line. It's my home phone btw.
