I used to have a Miz like fauxhawk up until about 5 years ago until my brother shaved it while I was drunk and i've kept it short ever since.

I used to have long hair. But then, I got it cut. And it's just way to hard to grow it out, without it looking like a sloppy mess for a long while.

I grew my hair out in jr high and kept it shoulder length and in a ponytail ever since (15 years).
I was thinking about shaving my head last year around my 30th birthday for a change (thinking that I've had the same haircut for half of my life, and that I had the exact same haircut as a kid for the other half of my life) but decided not to because: -I think my skull isn't the best shape for it
-If I didn't like the look it would take several years to grow my hair long again. I hated growing it out in high school, especially the period when its very messy and in your eyes and you have to use hair products in it (I absolutely hate the way gel, mousse, etc feels in my hair)
-I think I'm thinning a little bit on top and my long hair can hide it for now
-And the Main reason is I HATE SHAVING. About 98% of my adult life I've had a full beard. Whenever I got rid of the beard, I just used hair clippers and would never use a razor to be completely clean shaven.

I vowed to shave my head when I started going bald, because I didn't want to be the wanker with the comb-over. I've got a little ways to go before I do that, though, since my hair was so thick that it's just now thinning out to normal people levels.

I had a fro till after I graduated college and then had to cut my hair for work and then I went and shaved it all off and then my balding gene kicked in and I have been unable to grow a full head of hair I tried the last 2 months to grow it back I didnt let it bother me too much but it just looks GAH missing hair right on the top of my head so i'm staying bald.

I shave my head out of necessity. I'm going so bald I've got the Kane look. No joke. No cue ball, clippers are fine for me.

I had hair down to my shoulders when I played hockey, but I haven't grown it out that long in awhile. I've kept a buzzcut-ish thing going for a few years now.

I've switched a few times since high school.
As soon as I got out of grade school, I started growing my hair out. Did the long on top, shaved on back and sides thing. Around Junior year, I just buzzed it, and started from scratch.
My next haircut happened when I was 23. All of my roommates and friends were telling me to cut it, and I'd get way more action from it. Well, as sad as I am to say this, I caved to the peer pressure. Plus I thought it'd be a nice change of pace. Well after about 2 months and two haircuts to keep it short, I realized how wrong I"d been. I had a mohawk at the time, and decided to regrow just the mohawk, and keep the sides shaved. I decided last year to regrow the sides, and they're now in the awkward stage, where those hairs are only like 6 inches long, and the top of my head is like a foot and a half long.
Anyway, I decided I absolutely hate the way I look with short hair. It's never gonna happen again as long as I can help it.

Around 6th grade or so I started getting buzz-cuts.
By High School I was shaving my head regularly.
One time after high school I decided to try to let my hair grow out. Found out I was going bald (receeding hairline + spot near back of head).
So I said f*** it and have been shaving it ever since.

To the original post...
Yes... when I was a freshman in high school, I had spikey hair with the blond tips (hey... it was cool then)... baseball season came around and our coach had us all go Number One all the way around... I haven't grown it out since... now I do a No Guard all the way around... so not bald bald, but almost.

I'll probably shave it all off once it starts to get really thin. Figure since it's only a matter of time, might as well get it out of the way. Better to be completely bald rather than half.

I've shaved my head a couple times. It's not a bad look for me.

As for facial hair, I always thought I looked goofy with a beard. When my girlfriend and I met a few months ago she told me I looked better with a beard after seeing pictures of me with one. I haven't shaved since.

I've been saying for years that I'm gonna skin down my head the second I start to get a receding hairline. I rock the long hair, and refuse to have the Hogan hairdo and end up bald on top with long hair in the back.

Ever since I've kept it short even though I miss my old afro
