Oh, how I hate these Godforsaken places. About twice a month I am dragged to these hell holes by friends. It's the same freaking thing everytime, we supposedly go to try to pick up girls, but how can you possibly do this, when the music is so loud you can't hear a word anybody says. I can understand going if you like to dance, but even if you do, the dance floor is so crowded you can't even move. I don't mean to sound like a jerk either, but I hate the people at these places, but I'm one of them, so does that really mean I hate myself. The next day it's always the same conversation, friend: " Wasn't last night awesome." me: " Yeah, I love paying 10$ a drink and being rejected all night.". So, to sum it up I hate night clubs.

Yeah I don't bother going to those places either. I can't stand the typical person who goes to them. I mean if i'm wanting to "chase" girls, the girls who typically go to night clubs aren't my type anyways. Everyone at these places seem to fake for me anyways.

I miss the vaudeville acts, the ventriloquism, the chorus lines.

Most of the girl's dress like they want to hook up with everything that moves, act like they don't, say they don, but really would rather leave alone, and most of the guys are creepy bordering on sexually assaulting.
At least that's what I gathered from my one experience(and I thought once was enough)

True story:
For a friend's birthday, he decided to get a bunch of us to go down to The Vinyl in Denver, Colorado. I'm not good in social settings (especially in huge groups), I do whatever I can to avoid. However, as I was the designated driver, I took a book with me; the Bone Collector by Jeffery Deaver.
One of my friends, to this day, still reminds me of how I shot down a chick because I was too engrossed in reading it.
However, there were 6 guys, all drunk (short of myself), and not a single one took a girl home.

It's pretty much impossible to pick up complete stranger chick or her number unless she knows someone you know or has a friend who knows someone you know and you're with or a friend of her friend who knows a friend of your friend.
I don't mind them but I rather prefer a small pub with a pool table, a table to yourself, and music not so blaring loud.

I need to be in the mood to enjoy clubs. If I'm in the mood to get some drinks, hear some music, and maybe cut loose on a dance floor, I'd be up for it. But most of the times I can't stand the overpriced drinks and watching a bunch of overdressed posers dry-humping each other. And I definitely agree that they're not the place to go for meeting chicks. Or at least, it's a huge long shot to actually begin a meaningful relationship from one. I guess if you don't have that goal in mind when you go, it's less dissapointing, but it never fails to grate me to see hot, beautiful women going on dates to these places with the aforementioned dry-humping douchebags. It almost always brings up one of those "I CAN'T GET A GIRLFRIEND, BUT THAT PRICK CAN!!! ?" moments.

How did i know this is exactly how this conversation was going to go?
It's a lot more enjoyable when you decide to have fun instead of mope around, oh, and pick up.
Love 'em.

I hate them.
It's just not my scene. I let everyone know about this. Yet they still insist I go (pretty much forcing me by gunpoint) and then get upset when it looks obvious I'm not having fun.

Not a big fan of night clubs. Especially when I have shitty service for the overpriced drinks and I have to turn in articles of clothing at the door because they have a strict "No sports team clothing" rule. Most night clubs I've been to have sucked ... But there was that night I got into a very pleasant conversation with a Vampire that was worth going to one ...

I love nightclubs and they work for me and I rarely get disappointed. And you don´t even have to pick up someone there to have fun it is always great. Of course picking up someone is better but you have to check for the right people which basically means:
a) Girl with couple friends(Meaning that her friends lets say 4 girls have all dates with them) b) Girl that is alone (who are we kidding, that will never happen in a club that someone goes alone in their) c) Very, very, very drunk

I have no problem going clubbing. With girls. I hate clubbing with a bunch of my male friends. I alway feel like a sleaze bag. Pubs are for hanging out with your male friends, clubs for your female friends, thats my motto.

If I want to go clubbing, I'll hop on a plane to Newfoundland and find some baby seals ... ;D
Okay, I admit, that was bad.

I'm still at uni, so I go out clubbing a fair bit.
I usually have a good time. Mainly because I'm not a moron who starts fights and gets rowdy, I just dance like a loon and try to talk to women.
My best pulling technique was handing out balloons to girls. I got 3 phone numbers that night. At first I felt like a pimp, but then I woke up and felt like a whore.
I'm rambling.

I'm not a fan of them particularly but they are more fun to be in when you are with good company. The last club I went too I had a great time as was with some great friends and it wasn't overly packed. Plus drinks weren't too bad as it was a smaller club.
