The key to doing well in a club is:
A) Dancing B) Be good at dancing
Your only real shot of hooking up is fulfilling A and B.
Did I read somebody post above that they don't like clubs because you can't find a girl which will lead to a meaningful relationship? . . . . . . DUH! That's the point.

Not really a fan just depends what mood im in. If the club isn't walking distance from me I'll drive there, park up and if I get bored just leave whenever I want.
The music's usually terrible, the drinks are overpriced, getting in is overpriced, you can't hear anyone, there's not much to like anyway. I much prefer going to pubs, watching football and playing a bit of pool and being able to hear what the person next to me is saying.

Only nightclubs I enjoy are goth clubs, and those are very few and far between.
I dunno, I usually enjoy the music, and it's pretty easy to dance to. Plus the fact that a good majority of the people there are there just to enjoy the music and dance. They're not there just to hook up, they're there to have fun. It's they're social scene.
Anyway, they can be fun, sometimes. And I actually did date a girl I met at a goth club for about a year. So there you go.

You could always just douse yourself in cheap cologne, pay an extra 15 bucks for a 6 pack of beer at the store for no reason, place two, very large and very loud speakers on either side of your head and blast the latest shit rap/hiphop song, and throw your arms around wildly as you have feelings of intese desire to have sex with a stranger, only to realize it won't happen and go home empty on the inside...

house parties>>>>night clubs
cheaper refreshments, you get a say in the music(if the house it's at is either yours or your friends'), and you can be the bouncer.

I prefer house parties or just going to a sports bar/restaurant and hang out there. I like to go clubbing every once in awhile. I use to do it a lot when I was younger, but it gets old very fast. Watered down, overpriced drinks. I know someone who was going to a club last night and told me she's going because of the $1 drinks. Really?

I hate night clubs with a passion. It seems most of the people who go to them act so fake, and overdress to look good, when they just look like huge douchebags. And like others said before me, you can't even hear what anyone is saying to you when your at one. It's just not my thing, and personally I don't know why people can't just chill out at a friends house drinking a few beers or something instead of having to go to some club where trouble usually starts. I guess it's just cause i'm a very laid back person who hates the clubbing enviornment, and rather just chill with a few friends at my house or their house.

Depends on the type of place. I used to enjoy going to rock clubs; great music that you can get away with 'dancing' to even if you can't dance, plus you can drink enough so that you don't care whilst engaging in said 'dancing'. You'll get idiots anywhere and even moreso places where alcohol is served, but people in those places are often pretty friendly and chilled, as mentioned most are there for the music and social aspect although hooking up with a hot rock/hardcore/goth/alternative/emo/whatever chick isn't out of the question and always a nice added bonus. Some places have quieter rooms away from the DJ's and dance floor where you can actually talk. Still dust off the old air guitar sometimes and head to one that's walking distance from me every now and again. Dance music places can be interesting, again most people there are passionate about that style of music and are there mainly to dance, there's the drug element there as well of course. But anywhere that's snotty and places full of drunken pricks trying to pull to the soundtrack of godawful cheesy chart music is best avoided like the plague.

Last time I went Clubbing was at Quebec City and funny thing is I actually got a lot a lot more girls there than in MTL which is usually none. I prefer parties at my campus though since you're with friends or house parties ar bars. I kind of feel I am too old for clubsand I don't like them either usually.

I hate nightclubs but only because they're overpriced and full to the brim with douches and douchettes.

Not much of a fan. If I'm going out for drinks, there's usually dinner involved, watching sports, or playing pool/darts.
I can say that every time I've ever been to a club here in Knoxville, there has been a multiple-person fight.
Edit: House parties >>>>>>> nightclubs is right.

Try being a bouncer and watch the girls that dress that way think they can show a little bit of cleavage and get in. "Sure, you're the 200th girl I've seen tonight, you're pissed off and giving me attitude because I don't remember you from the night before, never minding that I see probably 400 people in a night that I check for ID, but since you, and 150 out of the previous 200 girls, tried to show me a little chest, absolutely! I'll let you in! Even though I'm at fire code restrictions, no one else is getting in, and I know damn well you're never going to speak to me the rest of the night!" Evidently, I'm not swayed by swinging cleavage until AFTER I've left the bar. And then I have to wonder, when they're trying to get guys to buy them drinks, what do they think is gonna happen? Look, I'm not gonna say this for all guys, but generally speaking, when a guy buys you a drink, he's expecting something. Meh, I'm on a rant. Being a jaded ex-bouncer has me do that sometimes. Only once went to a "nightclub." The Church, in Denver. Okay atmosphere, but good lord, the drinks were overpriced as hell, and every dude in the joint was trying to grope my girlfriend (now my ex). It was almost like "Hey! Fresh meat!" I'm sure there are perfectly respectable clubs out there, but my experience, and my background, tend to bring me to the conclusion that a pitcher of adult beverage, some friends, a jukebox and a pool table are a far better kind of joint. EDIT: Latino, we don't hate you because you like clubbing. We hate you because Madison said the Man From Nantucket was actually about you, and we're all worried that it's true.

Went to a bar and 2 clubs last night. The bar was great, the two clubs........sucked.
I find it more fun to go somewhere with friends and just have fun with them instead of trying to meet and hook up with women. Because from my experience, most of the women in this town are bitches.
And most of the clubs in this town suck. It's either crowded as hell or nobody's there. That, and it's always so damn smokey.

Usually I'm not a big fan of nightclubs, but last night I went to one with some friends and ended up getting laid, so I can't really complain about them too much right now.
