Yeah, nothing at all looks interesting. *cue "BOO THIS MAN" gif* Electric Six, freaking ELECTRIC SIX on Rock Band, that is just about the greatest thing ever! Would have been even better if they included "Dance Commander" in the pack, though.

Yeah, no, I still don't like their music. So.
Anyway, on better band news, here's the official 10 pack for Queen, to be released 20 October:
Another One Bites the Dust Crazy Little Thing Called Love One Vision Fat Bottomed Girls I Want It All I Want to Break Free Killer Queen Somebody to Love Tie Your Mother Down Under Pressure
Yup. Killer Queen, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and I Want To Break Free are mine! The rest are a "we'll see" basis.

No Bohemian Rhapsody and/or Don't Stop Me Now? What is this nonsense, I demand a refund! (wait a minute...)

I would have much rather seen Alanis' song "Uninvited". A song that is never mentioned as one of her best (or most popular) songs, but it's still a great song. That, or You Learn (I liked that one pretty much anyway). Hell, Hands Clean is a more Rock Band friendly song from her.
Still. Pass.

But no Bohemian Rhapsody=EPIC fail. That song would have been so killer to play

HELL YES! I'm stoked about The Coral's "Dreaming of You". Now comes the bad news. The game, while it's cheaper ($47 at Amazon), it will have a $10 charge if you want to transfer 45 songs to Rock Band. Also, it is probably going to be a one time code, a la the track pack games. That sucks. But still, it has a lot of songs I wanted in Rock Band anyway, like The Coral, Bon Jovi, the Blink 182 is an unappreciated song that's really good, AND THE FINAL FREAKING COUNTDOWN!!!! EDIT: Yup, the game's manual comes with a unique one-time activation code that you put in, it links you to a website asking for information, and you receive the code to transfer the songs over. Well, there goes more of my hard drive space (I'm down from 120GB to 60...)

Thanks for bumping the thread! I couldn't find it yesterday as I turned in a bunch of CDs I didn't listen to and got a new copy of Guitar Hero 5 and a used copy of Rock Band 2, both for the Wii. The thing is I just got the copies of the game, no instruments. So now I gotta buy some instruments but I'm pretty psyched that I got those games practically for free (only had to turn in about 60 or so CDs).

I wish they released the songs as DLC for those of us who really don't care about getting Lego Rock Band and only want a few songs from that game on RB2...

I went through and listened to the songs, and song for song, I believe the tracklist overall is better than Rock Band 2. I know, I know, but giving every song an "A-F" scale, there's more positive overall in Lego Rock Band. Hell, each game has a song that you're like "THAT song?!? I haven't heard that in years! I love that song". Lego Rock Band's will probably be "Crash" by The Primitives, which many may remember from Dumb and Dumber. Plus, I'm still stoked about The Coral. I was hoping that song would make a Rock Band debut some time. Little bummed there's no Gin Blossoms like originally rumored, but still, overall, I'm very pleased with the (limited) track list. Oh well, maybe we'll see Gin Blossoms some day:-/

Yeah, well, I suppose that if/when I get Lego Rock Band I'll probably end up liking a lot of the songs I haven't heard before, the same has happened with every GH/RB game so far. Since my broadband works now, I decided to catch up on downloadable content a bit and ended up getting approximately 2000 MS points' worth of songs. Now I'm wondering where I could (legally) obtain this version of Freezepop's "Get Ready 2 Rokk" that they have as DLC, because it's even more awesome than the remix they had in the first Guitar Hero: If Freezepop always had a sound like this (on their records, that is), they'd probably be one of my favorite bands. Now they're just this sort of a guilty pleasure.

I would've liked Beatles Rock Band to stay a one-time thing.
But I am perfectly willing to make an exception for Queen.

I would've liked Beatles Rock Band to stay a one-time thing. But I am perfectly willing to make an exception for Queen. The rumors are that after the massive success of Beatles: Rock Band, and how much time and effort went in to the manufacturing of the game (as opposed to Guitar Hero, which slapped on paint, tabbed a few songs, and motion capped a few things, not even beginning to give you an understanding of the bands), a lot of bands want to work with Harmonix. Basically, the rule of thumb is if you want a credible game that they spent a lot of time making and polishing, go with Harmonix. If you want a ton of money, go with Activision. I don't know if Van Halen will make them any money at all if they are packaging it free with Guitar Hero 5...
