Get the Wii version of RB2. That one actually has DLC, although the Wii's music store still isn't even close to approaching the 360/PS3's. Still, it's much better than the PS2 version. Yeah, thing is though Rock Band instruments won't work on Guitar Hero games on the Wii, while Guitar Hero instruments will work with Rock Band 2. So I'll probably end up getting RB2 eventually. But how well do the GH instruments work with RB, drums particularly considering the extra pad?

From what I remember the drums were quite awkward but my GH drums broke ages ago, someone might be able to give you better info than that. I am SO looking forward to The Beatles Rock Band ;D

And, now it is official. You CAN transfer all of Lego Rock Band songs from said game to Rock Band 1 or 2.
Yeah, I am totally going to be doing that. Crocodile Rock? Final Countdown? Ghostbusters? More Bon Jovi? Sign me up!
EDIT: Also, in addition to the 2 Queen songs in Lego Rock Band ("We Are The Champions" and "We Will Rock You"), Harmonix has also stated that there will be 10 more songs, including the only one officially announced, "Under Pressure".
"Killer Queen" and "Don't Stop Me Now", please.

You can find your own videos:
Freezepop Pack 01
Less Talk More Rokk Get Ready 2 Rokk Science Genius Girl
Pax Pack
Re: Your Brain by Jonathan Coulton Origin of Species by MC Frontalot Opening Band by Paul & Storm
Rock Band Unplugged pack 01
Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down Miss Murder by AFI Gasoline by Audioslave ABC by The Jackson 5.
Thoughts:
I'm excited about them slowly releasing the unplugged pack, but I'm interested in the Coulton song, as Skullcrusher Mountain was such a great song that NOBODY has!

Freezepop Pack 01 Less Talk More Rokk Get Ready 2 Rokk Science Genius Girl I would have replaced "Science Genius Girl" with "Stake Out", "Do You Like My Wang™?" or my personal favorite "Tracey Gold", but hey, it's Freezepop! Freezepop is awesome, you know.

Question for all of you. As far as DLC goes, would you rather have new singles from a band or some of their older, classic stuff.
I ask this, because of 3 bands (least that I can think of right now). Staind, Green Day, and Trapt. They all have DLC, but theyre all new songs off new albums. I'd much rather see come older songs from all 3 bands. How about Mudshovel from Staind, or When I Come Around by Green Day, or Headstrong by Trapt.
Anyone agree with me, or would you rather have the new songs?

I'd rather have their older classic songs than the new ones. Old Green Day is coming eventually.

I like the mix of old and new, which is pretty much what we're getting. Like ALL the Foo Fighters stuff we're getting is from their older albums (Including the entirety of The Colour and The Shape) and we've gotten nothing from Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace. There's some pretty fun stuff on there, too.
This stuff isn't only up to the Rock Band devs, but also the bands and record labels.
I wonder how much the Rock Band Network will open things up. The program is open not only to indie bands, but the big mainstream artists, too.

If you are willing to pay to get the program, and you have music that you can prove in a court of law is your music, then you are welcome to add your music to Rock Band.
I foresee a lot of garbage being on there, but I wouldn't rule out a lot of fun stuff as well.

I just found out that Iggy Pop will appear in Lego Rock Band as himself (and his extremely awesome song "The Passenger" will be featured in the game... and later as DLC for RB and RB2, I hope), and he will also narrate the tutorial features.
Indeed, nothing says "family friendly" like Iggy Pop!

I wonder if Iggy's Lego avatar is able to take its pants off on stage, crash through a table while stagediving or shout various obscenities to crowds consisting of angry drunken Lego bikers...

• The Raconteurs – "Many Shades of Black" • The Raconteurs – "Salute Your Solution" • The Raconteurs – "Steady, As She Goes" • Alanis Morissette – "Head Over Feet" • Alanis Morissette – "Ironic" • Electric Six – "Dance Epidemic" • Electric Six – "Gay Bar" • Electric Six – "I Don't Like You" • The Flobots – "Handlebars"
Yeah, nothing at all looks interesting. I will be curious as to how "Gay Bar" will work, as you can't use the word "gay" on Live, and if they censor words such as "whore", "go down on", and the like...
