Stealing another song from GH5 is pretty low on Harmonix's part.
First "Sex on Fire" then "Feel Good Inc." now "Runnin Down a Dream"
Actually get some DIFFERENT songs Harmonix.

Eh, they can "steal" the whole list of songs from GH5 for all I care, at least then I can just download the ones I like instead of buying a new game. I also like the fact that I no longer need GH: World Tour to play Rebel Yell.

I don't see how it's "stealing" anything... GH doesn't own those songs, the artists do.

Ok, so I've imported the Rock band 1 songs and redeemed the code to put the AC/DC songs on RB 2.
Also bought these songs: Best Day Ever Going Mobile Feel Good Inc.

Personally, I see it as karma for Activision and Red Octane stealing Guitar Hero from Harmonix. Better to buy the songs I want as DLC than go out and spend $60 to play them on an inferior game engine.

Was anyone able to download the 20 songs they are promised from RB2's instruction book back cover? I've put in the code to two different emails, they said it take about an hour, and it's been 6 hours. Anyone else have this problem? Also, what are the songs included?

Didn't work for my mac.com address but it went instantly with my yahoo one. If you have another email, try that.

You should probably check your "spam". That's where mine turned up. And once you do, play Bounce and The Feeling. Great songs!

I really liked I.V., too.
Speaking of which, whatever happened to that Japanese Rock Band release?

There is an article in Game Informer this month about the Rock Band Network. I think the gist of it is this. Lot of bands want to get their songs into Rock Band, and Harmonix doesn't have time for everyone. So this new system is gonna be sent out to alot of recording labels so they can make their own tracks for bands and put them on the music store.
Harmonix says this is a much faster way to get lot more music out there for the game. And I'm sorry if this has been talked about before, I havent read the whole thread.

So, I've been thinking about it and figured I'd ask you guys here instead of starting a new thread. I haven't played a music game until GHIII and wanna get back into it. I only own a PS2 and a Wii (though I might have a 360, it won't actually be mine), so I've been thinking about getting the games for the Wii. Now there's a bit of compatibility issues between Rock Band and Guitar Hero as the GH games will work for RB but not vice versa. So, is it a good idea to get Guitar Hero World Tour for the instruments and then Rock Band 2 as standalone (and later the rest of the games)?

Get the Wii version of RB2. That one actually has DLC, although the Wii's music store still isn't even close to approaching the 360/PS3's. Still, it's much better than the PS2 version.

Friggin' love this game and Guitar Hero. Play both games to death, too much my friends would say. They think its bad that I have beaten all the games of both series on Expert, they just don't understand the art ;D But seriously one thing I hope changes in future RB releases is soloing, on RB soloing is about as comfortable as wearing pants filled with razorblades...with anthrax coated on them. ...Or something like that anyway

Does anyone know where I plug the headset adapter into my RB 1 guitar? I assume there is one as I got two of them with the bundle.
