Can you get a class ring if you arent enrolled in a college? I want a new ring and the only gold one I have is my high school one which still fits 10 years later and regret not getting one when I was in college. Can I just walk up to a campus if they have are taking orders for class rings can I just walk up and order one?

I dont see why you couldnt get a ring. I dont think the jewelers is going to check your transcripts. And as long as you are paying for it why should they care?

I found out that due to my GPA, class-load, and other factors, I can apply for an early application to receive a class ring (I only have 20-something credit hours at Tech for the previous semester, with a straight-A average), even though the requirement was a 2.5 GPA and 50 credit hours (or sophomore status). I'd imagine if you've completed "X" amount of hours at said school, and "Y" GPA, then you should be fine. However, there are people on the university that you would like that you could talk to. I believe most universities keep the login-information for about a decade or so after you graduate/drop out.

You could probably order direct from whatever company they use. Hell, Jostens was even doing Madden rings one year.

Talk to the University about how to go about getting an official ring. I'm reading the application process to get an official Texas Tech ring, and all I have to do is go to a website, fill out the application, mail it in to the company, and they do the rest. However, as hypnoticgenes stated, if you are close to the university in question, I'm sure all you have to do is go to the local jeweler, get a price, and they'll do the rest. As long as you pay, most shops probably won't care. It won't be an "official" ring, but does it really matter?

The only way to find out would be to ask them, but I can't imagine they'd turn away a paying customer just because he wasn't in school anymore.
