It's awful. Appalling. Not being Amercan, or a resident of the US. I have no idea who most of these people are. The NASCAR drivers? The baseball guy last week? Bob Barker? Jeremy Piven? The two women from E!? These people are nobodies to me.
I only knew Al Sharpton because I have an interest in politics.
Ozzy Osborne can't talk, his wife is the most hypocritically false person in showbusiness, Ricky Hatton is quiet, and has such a strong accent, most of the people in the arena couldn't hear or understand him.
I think there have been eight good guest hosts: Freddie Prinze Jr, Shaq, Seth Green, DiBiase, Slaughter, Rhodes, Ventura and Batista.
You could easily restrict it to wrestling personalities. Bret Hart next week, IRS the following week, Ricky Steamboat, Edge, Flair, Backlund, hell, get DiBiase, Rhodes, Slaughter to do it again. That would take you to Elimination Chamber, and from there to Wrestlemania, you don't need a guest host.

Pretty pointless for the most part, but its been hit and miss. Some have been great, some have been terrible, some were ok.

It has a purpose (WWE being on ESPN, shown on other news networks) but as a fan, I loathe it. I get a weird feeling when a "host" stumbles over lines or forgets wrestler's names. Its like I'm embarrassed for the host, but actually I'm embarrassed for the wrestlers themselves. I mean, Timbaland forgot Cena's name, they had to feed Ozzy lines, Miller called HHH "the Show". Imagine if someone went on the NFL Network and called the Super Bowl something like Superfest.
Its a bad concept every week. After Mania, bringing in a "Guest Co-GM" every so often so that they can have some main stream exposure would be alright with me.

I liked the idea at first, thought it had some moments but I'm at the point where I want it fazed out. It had its run. Just get the Rock and Austin to host once each and then can the idea.

I got sick of it real quickly, and lately it's just been getting painful. It makes RAW look like a trendy, media-saturated, trying-desperately-to-be-hip circus that only makes the company embarass itself time after time.
If they limited it only to wrestling personalities, then THAT I could get behind. Jesse Ventura was easily the best host, other ones like Piper were also entertaining, and I'm absolutely marking my socks off for Bret. You could have a lot of interesting dichotomies by showcasing wrestling personalities of the past and present and making them run the show in different ways, while also generating fan interest by having familiar favorites make appearances. Either that, or finally pick a new RAW GM and stick with it (*cough* Bret *cough*).

Reading about it makes me glad I don't watch it anymore. The guest host thing should be done away with immediately or the product will suffer in the long run.

It just reeks of something that was thought up for one week and made someone's job easier because it gave Raw even more of a formula. So they made it happen every week. The fact that you get people like the E girls that are so far down on the D list celebrity row, that it makes WWE just looks like an extremely low rent variety hour. Complete with terrible comedy in the form of HHH and his attempt at clean humor which he cannot pull off.
It's giving us Bret Hart, but we'd have got Bret Hart anyways. If we got this once a month leading into a PPV maybe it wouldn't be so bad or quarterly or something.. I loved the Ventura episode, but that was mostly for the ending for McMahon & Ventura.
It's one of those things that just kills my interest in WWE.

I also did nominate this for the Gooker, as the whole Guest Host concept produced so many Gooker-worthy moments, that instead of picking out one, I nominated the whole thing. Yeah, it's dumb. I mean the show isn't even about wrestling. It's just like, "tune in next week to see......guest host Joe Mantegna: a character from a TV show you may or may not have ever watched before. What will he do?" Like Blade pointed out before also, a lot of the guests are so outdated, and not really relevant anymore. WWF in 1998 would not be having a guest host who was popular in 1988 to host their show. I don't watch RAW because of this idiotic concept. It might as well be SNL, albeit way more stale than SNL.

Hatred isn't a strong enough word for how I feel about it.

It doesn't work most of the time. Painful to watch at times, even.
