Man all I can say every time I watch this, I'm amazed how amazing this event was. Every match was amazing. It was a great moment in wrestling.

It was an awesome event to be at, but I still feel like the card was short and could have used another match or two.
I remember it ending hella early for the whole Bischoff-ECW Brawl/Beer Bash.

The nicest thing Vince McMahon has ever done.

I'd even argue that the second One Night Stand was just as entertaining, even if was mostly a WWE vs. ECW event instead of a full-on ECW tribute.
Still, it's almost breathtaking in how quickly the whole WWE ECW train was derailed. I watch ONS 2006 and think "well, what exactly was so wrong with this that they needed to dilute it?" Then I remember. It didn't completely reek of Vince McMahon's taint.

Mike Awesome is probably the one wrestler ever to retire on his greatest match. That match with Tanaka was jaw-dropping.

I'm glad I ordered the live show, The dvd probably dubs over Enter Sandman, and that entrance was one of the best parts of the show.
Also about the Awesome match, how weird is it that Styles says "and its a shame he didn't succeed in taking his own life".

To be honest, as much as I disagreed with Styles about his analysis of Awesome in that match I think that the horrible feelings he must have had when he heard about Awesome killing himself, realising he made that 'take his own life' call, will have been penance enough for anyhting I disagree with him about and probably anything he's EVER done wrong in his entire life.

I think the two ECW shows were the best thing WWE did at all this decade. Nothing else beats them. The fact that they couldn't make the ECW show work and got rid of Heyman just pisses me off to no end.

It was nice to see Vince do a tribute show, he probaly won't ever do it again but it would nice to see a WCW One Night tribute, now with Hogan in TNA that's not gonna happen
