I like them.
THey are doing their thing and having fun. And aren't taking away valuable main event spots. It keeps them doing something different.

Um, who was in the last "match" of the evening today? HINT: Not Sheamus. They are still MEs, singles titles or not. Although the problem isn't really with them so much as it is with the...bizarre sketches they are getting. Japanese game shows are starting to look sane by comparison.

Sometimes wrestlers get to a point in their career where they get lazy. Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, etc. got there in the 90s. HBK and HHH are there now. They become a parody of themselves, milking things that made them popular when they were younger. It gets to a point where they are not doing anything relevant or exciting. Just kind of rehashing the same act in a tired, watered down way.
HHH and HBK are still great wrestlers and talented. I am tired of the neon green, the tired crowd reaction routine, and all the schtick.
I think DX 06 was terrible and DX 09 is worse. I marked for the tank entrance at SummerSlam. Everything else has been lame IMO. I wish there was something new or innovative about them. They would be perfectly suited to be a heel act right now. If it wasnt for the merchandise machine that is DX, they would be better suited as heels or with new team members not named Hornswoggle.

I am so sick of them. I used to really like them when they were being rebellious and all that, but now they are nothing but jokes.
I mean they are the tag team champions... and they spent the whole show in little people's court? Really? Really?
I wait every week for HHH to Pedigree Shawn just so I can see the HHH I cheer for and the HBK I cheer for... not the cheap pop sell outs.

I honestly was too young to see the early years of DX but the 2006-09 rehash is about one thing...money. There was no reason to slap them back together other than it sells glow sticks. Why bother establishing two younger wrestlers in to an exciting tag team when you can just get the guys who have done everything already, back together.
I don't think anyone can blame the little people jokes, or the sex jokes, pre-school humor crap solely on DX. This is the awful writers and they should be held accountable, that and people who green light these terrible skits.

They are fine in short stints. But when you start dragging it on and on....like now, it's a little hard to handle. The fact that they are so far and away from what D-Generation X is supposed to be about makes it even harder to stomach for fans that were around in 1997. At least IMO. Triple H and Shawn Michaels on their own are fine with me. I enjoy watching them most of the time. But the DX thing should be saved for one night special occasions or short little feuds. Not a full time deal. Tyfo, I couldn't agree with you more.

You know, I find it funny to say this, but my neices are actually closer to the age demo WWE wants than I am (they're 11 and 13) and they HATE DX. My oldest neice asked me a few weeks ago why "those old guys are acting like such dorks".
As for me, it just feels beyond played out. Sure, some of the snarky inside references might get a chuckle once in a while, but other than that I'm just bored with it.

Y'know, even as a little kid I could tell Captain N was lame, so I wouldn't put it past kids to think this stuff was stupid too. It kinda seems like Adults frantically trying to be "cool" in front of little kids rather than something little kids would think was cool themselves.

Best echange regarding DX was with my youngest neice. Trips does the whole "Are you ready?" thing and she askes me: Niece: "What is he talkinga about?" Me: (having an idea what she's going to ask) What do you mean? Niece: WHen he said "suck it" did he mean, you know, like down there? Me: Yeah, that's pretty much what he meant. Niece: (looking stricken) Ewwwwwwwwww, but he's ugly, that's gross.

Meanwhile, I was walking along Brooklyn the other day when a young boy (probably about 10 or 11) across the street ran up to a friend's stoop, started knocking on the door loudly and screamed "I GOT TWO WORDS FOR YOU: SUCK IT! SUCK IT! SUCK IT!" Which, of course, brings up all sorts of questions for when they get into middle and high school. But they can figure that out when the time's right.
