Been working for 3 days at Jackson Hewitt...

So far I have been here working at Jackson Hewitt as a tax preperer for 3 days, have done a whopping 6 tax returns and have spent the other 19 hours either reading or shooting the shit with my coworkers (when they eventually come in).

I get here at 8:40 am and am the only person here until at least 11. No customers, maybe a phone call here and there and nothin else.

I sorta feel guilty for getting paid to not do much, but that may be the american dream.

That's pretty weird. I have a friend that works at HR Block and he gets slammed from the beginning of the year until the end of tax season. But keep in mind that people are just now getting their W-2's and a good portion probably don't have them yet. My work just got them in this week but I remember at my last job, we probably wouldn't get them until late February at times.
