Pats fans can look on the bright side At least we're not Detroit ;D So say we all. Or Cleveland. At this point I think Cleveland may be a more damning insult, heh.

Pats fans can look on the bright side At least we're not Detroit ;D People here will get anoyed, but I not pissed about the lost because once again, whether we like it or not, the D is being rebuilt and this is only the 2nd year of that, maybe 1st really. Also I'm one of these fans, but if the D doesn't get better in 2 years, what are the chances Brady signs somewhere else like San Fran (If they can't find a QB)?

Brady with Frank Gore and some of those really talented D players for the 49ers could be a championship team.

I won't crap on the Pats at all.. outside of that '96 Shannon Sharpe clip, just cuz that never fails to crack me up.. they did decent tonight, and as you said the D just ain't there, AND the Saints are just a monster this year. It's less Pats losing than Saints just rolling.

I love whenever Bill Belichick does something normal, people praise him and are stunned by him pulling a classy move. That's usually because whenever Bill loses, he instantly becomes a sore-loser 9-year old. When? The only time he didn't shake someone's hand was Mangini because of the bad blood between them. And in fairness I think that was a mistake. And don't bring up the super bowl. He shaked hands with the Giant coach then left the field. Then he found out there was one second left. What was he supposed to do? Run back on the field just to watch Manning take a knee?

Not gonna happen, especially if 2010 is an uncapped year. There's no way the Patriots let Tom Brady walk. They could (and have) let anyone else go, but they understand Brady's place in franchise history. They gave Patriots the receivers he asked for, granted a year too late, and they have quite literally built a shopping center with his face plastered all over it. Even though it would be the end of the salary cap and the death of parity, an uncapped year would be great for the Patriots. The Pats would absolutely be in any free agent's top-three destinations.

Patriots just didn't seem themselves this game. Note to Jim Zorn: Give Colt Brennan a chance to start a game next season. If he's the next Vince Young or Tom Brady, awesome. If he's the next JaMarcus Russell, then back to square one with Campbell.
