Does anyone truly believe that Hogan at his age with back, knee, and hip replacement/surgery will be wrestling a full-time schedule? Give me a break. If he is coming back as a wrestler, then TNA will probably use him as a special attraction (think of Hogan's 2005 run with Shawn Michaels). Again, if Bischoff is with him, I'm guessing it will eventually lead to Hulk/Eric making TNA "their" company and Hulk will simply use him name power to get more viewers. Look, I haven't watched a single minute of modern wrestling since 2002 and just stumbling onto this thread has made me interested. Hogan will have that effect on the fanbase. I see two things wrong with this: A)Despite any injury problems he may have, Hogan's ego+Hogan coming into a new company=Hogan's the new champ, no matter how little sense it makes. B)Sure, people know Hogan. Most nowadays know him as a trainwreck joke of a reality star that hasn't been truly culturally relevant since the 80's. It will attract mockery, not attention, at least from outside the industry.

The effectiveness of this depends on how much in-ring work Hogan plans to do. If he's mainly going to cut promos or just back a stable, this signing could turn out to be pretty good. I agree. This is a good move from TNA immediately. But yeah, if Hogan starts being a main eventer, it will turn crap. I would like to see him in limited ring, stable-backing role.

Wow, I'm 50/50 on this, I hope this is a chance for new stars still, but I have my doubts.
And Hogan and Russo WORKING TOGETHER?! wow, what I'd give to be a fly on the wall.

There are already twice as many people reading the TNA board than on a PPV day...
Just saying. Sure, people will come to mock Hogan, but people will also come to see his product.
Just because he isn't a pure wrestler doesn't mean that he still isn't the biggest name in the industry.

Great! Just when TNA starts getting good (and I get back into it), this happens! Right? TNA finally seems to get out of the attitude of "only the old guys can draw, and the young guys don't need to be pushed", and then they sign the walking, talking, personification of that idea.

So, it'll be fun to watch Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle play the Vader and Ric Flair for Hogan, at the very least. Good lord. Russo: Why is Kurt wearing that dress and makeup? Borash: We're not quite sure....he just kinda showed up like that
