Prowrestling.NET Jason Powell
Frankie Kazarian (a/k/a Suicide) asked for his release at the last round of TNA television because he's been frustrated with his creative direction. TNA management initially agreed to grant him the release, but A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels worked to soothe over the situation, so the release was never finalized.
A short time later, an upset Vince Russo approached A.J. Styles. Russo was upset because he had heard that Styles told Dixie Carter that he thought it would be a good idea if there were a wrestler on the creative team. Russo blew up and then Styles returned fire about being booked as a weak champion.
Although it appeared that Styles and Russo had cooled off following their backstage blowup, the word is that there were still some hard feelings over the weekend. Styles, Daniels, and Kazarian have expressed frustration to friends, and the bulk of their issues seem to be with Russo.
The frustration of these wrestlers came before Hulk Hogan signed with TNA, so this has nothing to do with that situation. Rather, all three wrestlers were or are highly skeptical of Russo as the head booker. Early reports indicated that Styles approached Russo with the complaints, but it turns out that it was actually Russo who confronted Styles. Russo was so upset during the argument that a witness claims he threw his coffee cup down in anger.
It does strike me as odd that Styles and Daniels are so frustrated given that Styles is the TNA Champion, and Daniels has been placed in the main event at Turning Point. Meanwhile, Kazarian is playing the role of Suicide. He plays the part well, but the masses probably wouldn't notice if TNA put another wrestler in the outfit. After all, Daniels played the role while Kazarian was sidelined by an injury, and it's not like anyone noticed. Furthermore, Kazarian appeared to burned some bridges with WWE during his brief developmental stint.

I'll take this as always with a grain of salt, but I can see where some of this could be true, particularly Russo likely wouldn't want to deal with a wrestler curbing his influence, while the wrestlers would like someone on the booking team that would look out for their interests.

Jeez I see zero reason for Kaz to he upset. Suicide has been basically the top X Divisionguy for quite a bit and after losing the title he was put in the hottest feud in the X Division. Is this report really insinuating Kaz is upset he has to wear a mask and he wants his face shown? That seems odd. Just because some fansdont know it's you is no reason to complain. I mean how does Kaz know eventually they won't unmask him.

I don't see what AJ or Daniels would have to be upset about, but I can understand Kaz's frustration. He seemed primed to break through to the main event before becoming Suicide, which has been going on for a year now and has Kaz back in the X-Division which he could have been elevated from already.

FACT: Kaz asked for his release because they turned down his "Mariachi w/ a guitar case full of guns" gimmick.

I still don't understand this "AJ styles is pissed about being booked as a weak champion" nonsense.

I still don't understand this "AJ styles is pissed about being booked as a weak champion" nonsense. He wasn't exactly made to look good in the recent tag match, taking almost all the offence. Then he was seen being taken out by Tomko.

I think a wrestler on the booking committee would be a good thing. It would help balance out all the crazy, non-wrestling crap Russo proposes.

AJ Styles since champ:
No sell Sting's finishers in your first defense? Check Remain unpinned and unsubmitted? Check Have your only loss come when your tag partner is pinned? Check
It doesn't sound that bad to me.
Also I don't see what is so bad about the X Division. Sure it isn't the top belt but being the top guy in a division they are trying to build back up is far from a bad deal.

Kaz has a right to be frustrated. He was riding the best momentum of his career and they shot that to hell in order to pimp their shit videogame. Suicide was doomed from the start. They NEVER should've done that angle, let alone putting one of their top up-and-comers in Kaz in that role.

I've got to side with Russo. Keep wrestlers, or at least active wrestlers anyway, far away from the booking.

I don't know how much TNA you watch but the being from a video game part has had zero to do with Suicide's character for quite some time. Even if it started stupid the character has been simply a mystery man crowd favorite for months. It is not as though they talk to him every week about living in an Xbox. The character has turned in to a good one and it has kept Kaz as a regular feature for quite some time.

I think Kaz genuinely can feel aggrieved. He beat Christian in 'Christian's match', was getting over, looked great and was solidified by Angle in the title match. Didn't he get saddled with a Black Reign feud not long after that? Following that up with Suicide is hardly capitalising on momentum.
I've been a Russo apologist in the past, but his ADD when it comes to pushes and angles when he seems totally lose interest mid way through something is a real frustration. One of the main reasons I would say my interest in TNA has waned.

They decided to try to push him as a serious character after that and they have failed. They don't really know what to do with him. Why? Because they introduced the character for a profoundly stupid reason. Kaz was being taken seriously when he was Kaz. As Suicide, he doesn't have a chance. Suicide is such a crowd favorite that he was booed against Pope. Granted, that could've been due to the sheer awesomeness of YOUR Pope.

I don't know I think Suicide has done alright as a serious character. A linger X Division reign than most, good matches , goof feuds.

Who cares maybe a can go to ROH like Petey, and Sonjay. They would make him a big fish in a small pond no doubt. Or maybe he can main event UPW. Better yet go to WWE and let them shave his head and make him the Jaime Noble new tag player.

Sounds like newz to me, Daniels and Styles are being given major pushes, they haven't veen reported as complaining before when they weren't getting them so why would they suddenly start now?
