I don't really understand how Hogan is going to help TNA get ratings. He can't use the nostalgia card or the "one last run" card because he used those in 2002 and they worked, but I think those are cards that you can only play once, you know what I mean? I don't think name value alone is gonna cut it because Hogan's time at the top has come and gone. And this is coming from a Hogan fan. Someone mentioned that it lack of big names isn't TNA's problem, their problem is that people barely know they exist. I have to agree. I have to say that there is one positive thing to having Hogan come in: it's motivating them to advertise and that's a nice step foward.

It's not just Hogan though, it's Hogan and Bischoff-Hervey Productions. B-H doesn't have a whole ton of big-time hits under their belt, but they have produced a couple of pay per views, a couple of VH1 shows (Scott Baio is 45...and single; and Confessions of a Teen Idol) which weren't too bad for what they were. And they were behind the production of Hulk's Australia tour, which by most accounts was pretty decent. If nothing else, it'll provide an avenue for more mainstream advertising (the ad in Times Square was a good start).

Has the advertising been focused on TNA, or on Hogan?

I think he will help get some older fans but other than that he won't do much. I highly doubt he stays with TNA for more than a year or two.

it may bring back a touch of nostaligia for about a second but after that it will fizzle out Hogans last big run was 2002 and was good for what it was but truth is the dudes past it and TNA need someone who will be good for the business not themselves.
I predict Hogan will milk TNA for all he can then bail leaving Dixie to clean up after his s***........thats the Hogan way.
