You know, the jokes are cool, but as far as it being sad, as some have said....
Guys, it's not uncommon for retired athletes to look toward personal appearances, radio & television work, autograph signings, etc. as a source of income. Say what you will about how Flair has mismanaged his finances, and that could very well be sad. But this itself is not.

Remember when Lance Cade sent a mass e-mail about being available for any kind of bookings?

Say what you will about how Flair has mismanaged his finances, and that could very well be sad. But this itself is not. It's not the personal appearances, it's the private parties. From that graphic, I get the idea that if i paid him enough, I could get him to come to my daugther's birthday party. Nobody would even blink if his Web site simply had contact information for personal appearances and left it at that. This pretty much says "Pay me and i'll be there!" I was thinking the same thing. It's one thing to make yourself available for Autograph signings and things like that but this is just Flair being desperate.

Eh, I still just don't see it as that big of a deal. I've seen concert listings for various bands that simply said "private party/function" So I guess that's why it just doesn't seem that bad.

I'm reminded of both Adam West from 30 rock and Andy Griffeth from Arrested Development.

Actually, I can easily imagine Gene Simmons doing it. That guy will do damn near anything that makes him a buck.

Has Law & Order done a Benoit episode yet? Hire Ric, have him die in the first five minutes, and it can lead to Jack McCoy having Fake Vince arrested.

I do not think this is sad. That he is famous enough to feasibly be hired to do one of these things, instead of getting thrown around the ring/ blading at 60 years of age, is a good thing.

Well, all you would really have to say is "For promotional and Personal Appearences, please contact my agent." I mean, look at Hulk's page, www.hulkhogan.com/requestAppearance.asp That's pretty simple, right? That doesn't sound like a man trolling for Church and State Fair gigs, or judging inner beauty pagents, or giving "Startled Straight" lectures. It sounds like someone who will be happy to consider your request, but wants to know more first. It's not that flair wants to make some money, it's that he seems really desperate to do so.

Winter is coming and the snow isn't gonna remove itself, either. You might be on to something here, I wonder how Mr. Flair is with a leaf blower...
