Well, Goliath pulls off the first upset of the tournament, taking down King Krunch. But now the twin engine behemoth has an even greater challenge as he takes on one of the bigger stars of the new generation of Monster Trucks: Tom Meents and the truck formerly known as Goldberg, Maximum Destruction.
Goliath
Maximum Destruction
Results: Day 1: Equalizer stomped Clydesdale, 13-2 Day 2: Equalizer grounded No Problem, 8-3 Day 3: Grave Digger buries Equalizer, 11-1 Day 4: Grave Digger rolls Gunslinger, 10-0 Day 5: Grave Digger squashes Avenger, 10-1 Day 6: Grave Digger downs Samson, 8-2 Day 7: Grave Digger stomps Bad Medicine, 8-0 Day 8: Just Show N off and Bearfoot went to a draw, 4-4 Day 9: Bearfoot and Awesome Kong edge Just Show N Off, 2-2-1 Day 10: Awesome Kong edges Bearfoot and Rambo, 3-2-0 Day 11: King Krunch downs Awesome Kong, 4-1 Day 12: King Krunch squeaks past USA-1, 2-1 Day 13: Goliath upsets King Krunch, 4-1
Finalists: Grave Digger
In my honest opinion, Maximum Destruction is what's wrong with current monster truck events. Back in the day, there was some excitement as guys weren't trying to wreck every time they went out and performed.
