Does anyone else think the stuttering part of Goldust's persona has basically run its course by now?
It's been what, 7 years since his "electrocution"?

Given that both WWE and TNA have vocally declared that 1996 nostalgia is the next big wave in the wrestling business, I demand that we get the original, creepy heel Goldust back.

Goldust actually gets good face reactions, though, why ditch it? Just have him creep out the heels, Rico style.
By the way, anyone else think "Stuttering Goldust!" sounds like some exclamation, akin to "Great Caesar's Ghost!" or "Sweet Christmas!"?

True, but that's for his character being a babyface as much as anything, a throwback to the good old days in WWE. And really, how many fans remember him having been electrocuted back in 02/03? There are tons of new fans who never knew him in the original form.

I particularly love his uppercut he manages to sneak into matches from a Diamond Cutter-like number of positions. ;D

I can totally imagine Ron Burgundy saying "Great Stuttering Goldust!"

Haven't they already ditched it? I don't recall any stuttering during his introduction of the diva slammy award.
But yes, he is better off without it. I got a good laugh out of it suddenly coming back though - it was fun hearing him try to explain it to Abe and his and Tony's reactions. Not to mention Vickie Guerrero smelling like SHIitake mushrooms. Overall though, it's just not doing anything for him now that he's actually a lot less about sexual connotations and more about having entertaining matches.

He did it during his backstage bit with Yoshi and the Croft/Barretta tag team.
