If anyone deserves a push right now, it's Christian.

Other: Sheamus. He's done nothing to prove to me he's not worthy.

I would have had WWE announce ECW was closing down at the end of the year so Raw and Smackdown start buying up thier talent. Christian goes to Raw and by virtue of being the last ECW champion is named #1 contender to the WWE title. Christian turns heel in dramatic fashion after a few weeks of faking a respect relationship with Cena and wins the title in the same circumstance that Sheamus did.

In all seriousness, giving Sheamus this push is no different than if Heidenriech was pushed to the title in 04. Zeke looks the part alot more than Sheamus and is immensely more marketable domestically to an untapped market.

How is a fake South American more internationally marketable than a genuine Irishman? I don't understand.

It would make me smile had they given it to Yoshi.
Especially now with the "Yoshi beat up Sheamus" story, I want Yoshi to just show up on RAW one week and take the title from him. *jumps and fistpumps, shouting random hotblooded things in Japanese*

Where's the "Sheamus" option?

Sheamus.
You can't give the 'Sheamus Super-Push' to any guy, since it's about how he is dominant, can bully anyone because of his size etc. So the only other guys you could give it to are Zeke and Vance. They are guys that all we have seen them do it beat up people, so it's believable if they start beating up people further up the card in a short space of time.
Someone like Christian doesn't deserve the Sheamus type push. If he ever gets pushed, he deserves a gradual build, because he's not a gigantic bully, we've seen him have even matches with mid-carders, where as Sheamus, Zeke and Vance have just destroyed them. Kofi would be the same, I wouldn't suddenly have him beating Cena, because it's not believable. With Sheamus, there's no reason to believe it isn't believable.
So yeah - Sheamus. He's better than Zeke and better than Vance.

Christian MVP Mark Henry
In that order. MVP is long overdue for a Main Event push.

If not Sheamus, then The Miz.
I think the good thing about the Sheamus push is that it was unexpected. It comes off as a bit of a fluke, which is a nice change of pace from wrestling being predictable. Everyone saw Cena/Sheamus on the card and expected Cena to hold onto the title. Since it was done in a match where all Sheamus had to do was put Cena through a table, it's a little more plausible too.
So I think the reason why I like the Sheamus thing is the unpredictability of it. The Miz has been better established, but no so much that you'd expect him to win the WWE Title, so if I was booking I would give it to him.
As much as I like Christian, his win wouldn't have the same effect. I'd save it for a big event like Mania.

Other: Sheamus.
This kinda push is working for him and I don't know if a slow push would have gotten him over. He's so different in the way that I guess "the shock value" of this new guy would be better for getting him over than feuds with Benjamin ever would. If anyone else could have gotten his push, it would have to have been Zeke or Archer. Relatively new guys, who are massive guys, that can work the monster heel/bully that destroys anyone.
When you have guys like Miz and Morrison, who have had a slow but steady rise, it looks awkward when you suddenly dump them in the ME scene. With Sheamus, I didn't know much about him, had heard people talk about him, and I thought he was impressive enough in the quick build leading to Cena for me to like him.

The Miz for me - he is just gold on the mic and has really improved in the ring. I think he is a future world champ.
Other better options would have been John Morrison, Kofi Kingston (who is ofcourse getting quite a major push anyhow) or Christian.

On that list, maybe Swagger. Kofi and MVP deserve gradual pushes as well, but I still would have given the monster push to Sheamus. It usually only works with a certain type of wrestler, one who's both a monster and has a bully mentality to their character (think Vader).
Out of the blue pushes are always risky with any wrestler, though. The odds of getting an instant new star as over as Rock- or even JBL- aren't very good, but they haven't botched it with Sheamus yet. It's stil interesting to me, at least.
