Here's my thoughts on Wrestlemania 26 and how to get there and some on why I booked what I did.
WWE Title
Randy Orton(c) vs Kofi Kingston
On the Jan 4th Raw Kofi defeats Orton.
At the Royal Rumble John Cena defeats Sheamus for the WWE title in a Street Fight.
Kofi wins the Royal Rumble. Among other things he helps eliminate Orton.
At Elimination Chamber Raw's participants in order of entry are: Triple H, The Miz, John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Mark Henry. In order of elimination: The Miz is pinned after a Pedigree, Triple H is pinned after an RKO off of Cena's shoulders after he kicks out of an Attitude Adjustment, Cena is pinned after a bicycle kick by Sheamus spins him around into an RKO, Sheamus is pinned after the World's Strongest Slam, Henry is pinned after Orton punts him in the head while pinning Sheamus. Winner and new WWE champion: Randy Orton.
At Wrestlemania 26 Kofi wins the belt in the main event after the Trouble in Paradise kick. It's a straight match with no interference, but Orton does try to cheat. Kofi lands one TiP but knocks Orton out of the ring. By the time he rolls Orton back in he's recovered enough to hit the rope hang DDT as Kofi comes back in.
World Title
Rey Mysterio(c) vs Batista vs CM Punk w/Luke Gallows
At the Royal Rumble we have a Triple Threat with Undertaker, Batista and Rey. Rey gets the win. Batista is about to Batista Bomb Taker when Rey comes off the top with a chair and lays out both bigger men before getting the pin on Batista.
At Elimination Chamber the participants in order of entry are: Rey, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Big Show(who has been traded to Smackdown by this point), Batista and Chris Jericho. In order of elimination: Undertaker by Sweet Chin Music, Big Show after a Batista spear and Spinebuster and HBK flying elbow and a splash by Rey, Batista after a 619 into a Codebreaker followed by a Rey splash, HBK after a codebreaker, and Jericho by a West Coast Pop.
Rey's second title reign is much more successful than his first. He gets wins over Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler, Tyson Kidd, Mike Knox, and Jon Morrison(Morrison is still a face, but it's based on his defeating Rey for the IC title) He loses to Batista in a non-title match and goes to a no contest with Taker. He also loses to Luke Gallows when Punk interferes, but he gets the win back the next week in a tag match. But Punk beats him up post match.
It's this fact, plus an absence of recent title matches that earns Punk the title match. Batista is put in by constant interference.
Batista is setting up Punk for the Batista Bomb when Rey hits a seated senton on him. Rey then goes after Punk but he's caught with a powerslam. Gallows distracts Batista and Punk hits the GTS on Rey. CM Punk pins Rey Mysterio to win the World title.
Unified Tag Team Titles vs The Streak.
De-Generation X(c) vs the Brothers of Destruction
You've already seen some of my setups for Shawn, The Undertaker and Triple H. After Elimination Chamber Undertaker confronts Shawn. He reminds him Triple H was also one of his victims. So if Shawn wants to face him this year he and Hunter can defend their titles aginst himself and Kane.
Shawn keeps the DX schtick from going to far during the build indicating he wants to take things seriously. He insists Hornswaggle stay backstage during the match. DX does come out pushing coffins prior to the match.
They tease that Hunter and Kane will start the match, but both tag out. It turns into a brawl early and Hunter grabs sledgie out of a coffin and whacks Kane then tosses him into the coffin. Hunter then attacks Taker, who has the advantage over Shawn. Trips sets up the Pedigree, then HBK kicks his head off. He tosses him into the other coffin. As he steps away from the coffin Taker hits his dive over the top and it turns into a singles match for several minutes.
Eventually Shawn attempts a piledriver, Undertaker backdrops out, but Shawn holds on for a sunset flip attempt. Taker reaches down, grabs him by the throat and pulls him to his feet then picks him up and delivers the Tombstone for the three and the tag team titles.

Bret "The Hitman" Hart w/The Hart Dynasty and vs Vince McMahon w/Linda and Stephanie McMahon and Mike Tyson
At the end of the Jan 4th Raw we find out that Shane McMahon has left the company(we have to eventually just so people don't wonder where he is.) and that he sold his shares to Bret. On the Jan 11th edition of Raw Mike Tyson is the special guest host. He makes amends with DX and becomes connected to Vince through them.
When it's decided Bret is willing to put his shares up against Vince at Mania if Vince will do the same.
We also are shown numerous Harts and family at ringside. The Hart Dynasty creates a distraction, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart jumps into the ring and hoists Vince up and we see a classic Hart Attack. Bret then locks on the Sharpshooter and the bell is wrung, which is either a callback to the Montreal Screwjob or Austin being unconscious in the Sharpshooter or both.
Special Attraction Match
John Cena vs The Rock
Special Guest Referee: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
The Rock guests hosts a Raw and we're told there's a very special announcement. And that is The Rock is being inducted into the Hall of Fame, and he'll be inducted by Steve Austin. Cena comes out and accuses Rock of walking out on the fans. He insults his Disney movies, saying the only reason they show up in theatres is cause of the Disney name.
I considered Cena vs Sheamus but that would stretch the feud to long. And I couldn't think of a good way to do Cena vs Batista.
In the match Cena is setting up the Attitude Adjustment when Rock slides off his shoulders and shoves him into Austin. Austin recovers quicker than a normal ref, but it's long enough for Rock to hit a low blow. He then hit the Rock Bottom. Austin is up but looking away from the fight and seemingly pissed. Rock sets up the People's Elbow and hits it. Austin confronts Rock, flips him the double bird, kicks him in the gut and delivers the Stunner. Rock does a classic oversell to the point he practically lands on the now standing Cena's shoulders. Cena delivers the Attitude Adjustment, then the Five Knuckle Shuffle and gets the pin.
Grudge Match
Jerishow vs Edge and Christian
Edge is apparently looking to return by Mania. They've even begun setting up Edge vs Jericho. So after Jerishow loses on JAn 4th Bret refuses to let Jericho return to Raw. He does however let Big Show go to Smackdown.
Vickie is the one who sets up this match to get at her ex-husband. Since this is about their tag team and whether Edge was a weak link it's decided Edge can choose anyone he likes to be his partner. He shows up on WCW to ask Christian to be his partner. And yes, you read that right. WCW. One of Bret's first actions as WWE part owner is to criticize ECW and declare it unworthy of being ressurected. He then replaces it with WCW and strips Christian of the title declaring him the final ECW champion before setting up a WCW title tourney.
This is also a tag match so that Edge doesn't have to do to much work on a recently rehabbed injury.
Big Show tries to knock out Edge with him against a ringpost but ends up missing and hurting his hand. Edge hits a spear on the outside. On the inside Jericho has Christian setup for the Lionsault. Christian moves and Jericho lands on his feet. Edge hits the spear as Christian moves out of the way for the win.
Money in the Bank
Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre vs Jon Morrison vs Sheamus vs Mark Henry vs Shelton Benjamin vs Matt Hardy vs R-Truth vs Evan Bourne
The qualifications for the multibrand match have the option of being cross brand, but are not necessarily. McIntrye defeats MVP to enter. Morrison gets a win over his former tag partner The Miz. R-Truth defeats Luke Gallows. Shelton beats Dolph Ziggler. Sheamus beats Finley. Henry beats Jack Swagger. Matt Hardy beats Zack Ryder. Evan Bourne beats Paul Burchall.
Morrison becomes Mr Money in the Bank.
WCW Title match
Fatal Fourway Tournament Final
William Regal vs Yoshi Tatsu vs Ezekial Jackson vs Vladimir Kozlov
After ECW is replaced with WCW, Christian's championship is replaced. In an eight man tournament Regal advances over Christian, thanks to a distraction by Ezekial, Tatsu goes over Zack Ryder, Kozlov beats Archer by DQ when Jackson interferes and Jackson beats Goldust clean. In the second round Regal beats Tatsu thanks to Ezekial's interference and Jackson and Kozlov go to a double countout. Tiffany decides that based on those events she will not allow Regal to just take the WCW title so she puts all four of the semi-finalists in a fatal fourway.
Ezekial and Kozlov spend much of the match brawling but Koz does occasionally break away to try to pummel Regal. Tatsu is down most of the match, being overpowered but he does have one spot where all three of the other guys are in the corner fighting and he does his double knee in the corner, slamming them all together.
At the end Yoshi does his finishing kick to Regal, which is followed by Jackson hitting the Uranage on Tatsu. He and Kozlov take it outside and Regal is barely able to drape an arm over Yoshi for the WCW title.
US title match
The Miz(c) vs Chris Masters w/Eve
After Eve loses a Divas title match to Maryse, The Miz mocks her for ever attempting to step in the ring with the Divas champ. This prompts Masters to step up and defend her. The feud grows to encompass the Masterlock as The Miz beats a jobber with just a regular Full Nelson, only turning it into the Skull Crushing Finale after the match is over.
The Miz slips down to the mat when Masters tries the Masterlock, reaches up with his legs and then pulls Masters into a victory roll to retain the title.
Divas Battle Royal for a shot at either the Divas or Women's title.
Participants are: Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim, Alicia Fox, Jillian Hall, Natalya, Katie Lea, Eve Torres, Maria, Layla, Kelly Kelly, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Rosa Mendes and Savvanah
Maryse wins the Diva's title and enters a feud with Gail Kim. Michelle McCool retains her Women's title over Mickie and Maria and by dodging Beth who becomes a tweener. In ECW Rosa has a couple of confrontations with Savannah over the way she introduces Ryder and Rosa claims she's eyeing him at ringside.
Maryse and Michelle both come to ringside before the match
Beth immediately eliminates the Bella twins, Rosa tosses Savannah, Beth tosses Rosa, Mickie eliminates Jillian, Katie Lea eliminates Maria, Nattie tosses Eve, Mickie eliminates Katie Lea, Natty eliminates Kelly, Layla eliminates Mickie with help from McCool at ringside, Gail eliminates Alica, Natty tosses Gail, Beth eliminates Layla, Beth eliminates Natty.
Beth calls Michelle into the ring, then catches Layla trying to sneak up on her and rams her into Michelle. She immediately hits the Glam Slam for the win and the Women's title.
Singles Match
Ted Dibiase w/"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes vs Cody Rhodes w/"The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase.
At the Royal Rumble there's three men in the match Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes when Dibiase's number is up. Kofi tosses Orton to the apron, but not out. Ted grabs his feet and pulls him off the apron. Ted thinks he's smoothed things over and even promises to take out Kofi at Elimination Chamber.
Cody is at ringside for EC's Kingston/Dibiase match but does nothing. In the end Kofi ends up winning. Post match Cody attacks him and Kofi makes the save with him shaking Dibiase's hand.
During the build Ted Sr. appears with Legacy saying Ted Jr.'s making a mistake and should apologize to Legacy. Dusty appears telling Cody he should follow Ted Jr's actions.
At Wrestlemania Cody comes out wearing a tear away suit, not identical to the Million Dollar Man's, but similar and holding the Million Dollar Championship. He tells Ted this is what he threw away.
Dusty helps Cody by distracting the referee and Cody hits the Cross Rhodes, then applies the Million Dollar Dream until Ted passes out.
Dark Match
MVP, Santino Marrella, Primo, The Great Khali, Finley, Shad, JTG, Slam Master J, Jimmy Wang Yang, Eric Escobar, Kung Funaki Goldust and The Hurricane vs Jack Swagger, Carlito, Chavo Guerrero, Paul Burchill, Dolph Ziggler, Mike Knox, Charlie Haas, Zack Ryder, Vance Archer, Tyler Reks, Trent Baretta, Caylen Croft and Abraham Washington.
A 26 man tag match just barely tops the 24 man tag match they did on ECW a couple years ago. Washington is just there to fill the sides. Goldust gets the pin after using the Final Cut on Charlie Haas.
I figure WCW is brought back because of rumors that ECW will be undergoing a major change. With TNA doing at least one Monday show this is a reminder that the Monday Night Wars are OVER and the WWE won.
