Well, that's exactly my point. They never went for that, thereby never using Eric Bischoff to his fullest potential.

This is probably going to be yet another thing people don't appreciate online due to the expectations they have...impossible expectations to meet.
Bret Hart is going to be on WWE TV...that's more than enough for a mark out and a special moment for me.

I just worry because Bret has always been adamant that he wouldn't return because he didn't want the WWE to turn Montreal into just another storyline.
So I wait with baited breath to see what next week brings. I just hope he's not thrown his integrity out the window. I can't see it, cus it's Bret Hart! But I hope someone understands what I'm worrying for. I mean, look at the end of his autobiography. That looked for all the world to be his 'closure' with the business. But obviously not. All I'm hoping is that they've sold him on a freakin' awesome angle or else I don't understand why he'd return. Theres a lot of murky business both parties are either gonna ignore (which wouldnt make sense!) or he's gonna have bit the bullet and turned his real life issues into storyline like he swore he never would.
Anyway, I still can't wait.

I for one would mark for the one night only return of Mike Adamle in order to see how he butchers Bret's name.

Bret Hart has had matches with a guy dressed as a centaur....a dentist....a clown....a sumo wrestler...and a vampire(in WCW). And after all that bad booking he is considered one of the best if not best of all time It would take something absolutly pathetically bad for me to be disappointed with Bret's comeback. Don't forget the Pirate. Seriously though..... I think it will botch based on the current state of wwe. I dont want him to be just kind of there. I dont want him to just manage Hart Dynasty or do a predictable revenge angle against HBK or Vince. I think he should come out and frickin steal the title and say he never lost it. He declares himself WWE champion again.

I am afraid they will tease his appearance all night and then have him show up via sattelite.

I don't see the big deal considering it's a one-night only guest host appearance. How much of a Bret vs McMahon feud can be developed in one Raw episode anyway?

He signed a several month deal leading to WrestleMania and maybe even a week or two after. Storyline-wise, it's supposed to start as a guest host gig. Then apparently Vince will bait Bret to come back the following week and so forth.

Not that I think the screwjob was a work, but it'd be worth seeing if it actually was, and him and Vince had a "We got you!" moment. I think the internet would implode.

I want to see Bret come to the ring and start yapping about whatever it is that he will be yapping about. Hornswoggle will then come out from under the ring and start crotch chopping around the ring, Bret will of course be distracted by it and won't see HBK come out. He will turn around to be hit with Sweet Chin Music followed by a tadpole splash. Then Vince will head down to the ring and lock Bret in the Sharpshooter while screaming into the camera Bret never screwed Bret, it was me all along. I screwed Bret Dammit and I'm doing it again.
Now that would be the greatest moment in wrestling history.

Well, I'll say this much...
A)Booking Bret Hart means I watch RAW live and TiVo TNA. And I think TNA is 10x the product WWE is right now. It's something that's a one in a billion special. Just arriving and being in the ring, and the five minutes of just uninterrupted cheers and adulation from the fans while Bret just soaks it all up will be the best moment since Flair's retirement party.
B)With that said, there is absolutely NO WAY IN HELL that what actually happens next week will be on par with our expectations. It's too hyped up in our minds "OMG! Bret and Vince! *head explodes*". As much as we would want Bret to just grab the mic and start shooting like it's a Lane Bryant, we're not going to get that. Maybe he does something with the Hart Dynasty to get one over on DX. That's about as exciting as it will get. I really hope I'm wrong, and I really hope I look at this a week from tonight and think "oops!", but I doubt I will.

I am afraid they will tease his appearance all night and then have him show up via sattelite. And there's a real bad snowstorm in Calgary so the satellite connection goes in and out. Bret: "Hello! I wanna say something about Vince McMa *static* you piece *static* I hope you *static* and after I'm done *Technical Difficulties screen* so after I dig up your corpse *static* and now that I got that off my chest. I feel better. Good night!"

Is it wrong that I'm a bit more worried that they're going to turn HBK heel for this, at least for next week's episode? 'Cause you know that whole HBK/Vince promo looked like they're going to screw (pardon the pun here) Bret over and Shawn will attack Bret just so he gets his WM rematch.

When HBK said only good things would happen you know he means he'll apologize because he's Born-Again and all that. So don't expect Bret to sharpshoot him.
Look, this was 12 years in the making. I'm psyched for it. It is closure, whatever happens. The only thing that bothers me is in the intro to RAW... I don't know if they always had Ted DiBiase saying "everybody has a price" over Bret Hart footage but I only started noticing it last week. So is that a little jab at him or what? I mean can't Vince NOT sabotage what could be the greatest single moment in wrestling history?
I can't believe Vince found a way to trump Hogan's premiere on TNA. They'd better bring him out between 8-9pm. If not, none of Canada and most of the U.S. will not be watching.

Unless, DX wins the rematch next week, but Bret as a way to get back at HBK announces that DX will defend the tag titles at Royal Rumble against the Hart Dynasty. There Triple H, upset at Shawn because he didn't listen to him about not getting in Vince's business because he was too obsessed with getting his rematch against the Undertaker, turns on Shawn and let the HD win the belts. From there, they won't be doing a HBK/Taker feud, but a Shawn/HHH feud for WM 26. 'Cause I'm sorry, despite what they're saying on TV, I still don't believe we'll get HBK/Taker 2 at WM 26. IMO it'll be HBK/HHH for this particular reason. What do you think?
