....I heard you like to drink a lot of beer. No matter how much they messed up the nWo's arrival in WWE, we will always have that first night! This and the segment with the Rock are just fantastic

What are the odds? All three of them end up in TNA years later...

If TNA plans to replicate this, hopefully they can do a better job than WWE, however WWE did a good job with the nWo in the beginning.

It still sends shivers downy my spine to see Austin and Hogan face to face. Two of the biggest draws in the history of the business. That match would have made so much money it's insane.

True, but I guess we can blame Austin for not being interested, in part since he figured it'd mean he'd lose the match. nWo failing is like the perfect storm of accidents, little of which was WWE's fault. Nash gets hurt, Hogan pretty much had to turn face, Kane and other main adversaries get injured, Scott Hall and X-Pac have meltdowns, etc....

Given that Hogan can't possibly come in to TNA as a heel... would that mean a babyface incarnation of the original nWo trio? It's almost impossible to imagine...

I love Hollywood Hogan. One of my favourite wrestlers. So great. I just hate the "Hulkamania" Hogan with an intense passion

Should have been the other way around. Hall says "I heard you like to drink some beer," and Austin should have replied with "I heard YOU like to drink a whole LOTTA beers."

If hogan's really 'the best in the world', like he seems to think, then he could get the crowd to hate him

True, but I guess we can blame Austin for not being interested, in part since he figured it'd mean he'd lose the match. Austin didn't want to work with Hogan because 1) the match would've, to use a Cornette term, "sucked a dick" 2) he doesn't like Hogan. At all. One of the things I've always liked about Austin is he isn't melee mouthed about things like most wrestlers. Hate something? Don't do it.

Why were they sucking up? I really didn't get that either. Vince McMahon brings them in as a lethal dose of poison and then when they turn up they try to appeal to the crowd that they're not really bad guys and then try to suck up to The Rock and Steve Austin. Was kind of doomed right there.

What's with the silence from the crowd when NWO appear on screen?
