I figured since he is going to be on RAW this Monday, it can qualify as current WWE...but anyway, has anyone here met him? How was it meeting him? How'd he come off?
I bought a ticket to meet him on the 30th here in Los Angeles...it was 20 dollars to take a picture with him and it's another 20 if you want an autograph from him too...I dunno, seems kinda steep, but I guess it's business.

I've heard he's nice in person, but that was before he was all bitter.
I'd really love to meet Bret Hart jr, he seems like a stand up guy.

Bret was the only big name wrestler I met. Around my 9th birthday I went to a house show at the Niagara Falls convention center, it was October 1994, and my buddy's dad knew the manager of the venue, so at intermission he just asked my 3 friends and I if we wanted to go backstage, so of course we did.
We got back there and the first person I saw was Jim Neidhart, who was ignoring us and trying to stay in kayfabe as he was facing Bret in the main event that night. Dave Hebner greeted us and brought out Luna Vachon, who told us to "stick your tongues out for the camera," I was always scared of her as a kid but I became a fan that day as even as a 9 year old kid I found it very nice of her to take some time out to meet us.
So he tells us to wait as he has one more surprise. During this time I look to my left and see Paul Bearer, in costume but not in character, putting quarters into the pepsi machine. I nudged my one friend as was like "Hey! It's Paul Bearer!...what's he doing at the pop machine?" and he just kind of looked our way, realized, what was going on, and quickly switched to his character's scowl and shuffled off.
Then I look ahead and here comes Bret coming out the curtain. I was in absolute shock, I could barely speak I was so floored I was meeting one of my idols. He talked with us for a minute or so, and then each of us got a picture with him with the belt. I don't remember much other than him coming out and taking the pictures, don't remember what I said since I was too floored to do anything. Unfortunately I lost that picture somehow, but my dad claims it is somewhere. Anyways I was a huge Bret fan before that but ever since then he's been my absolute favorite.

I think something should be clarified here: Whenever it's a session like this, sometimes it's not the person you're seeing being the one to drive up prices. It's often the agent, the place in question, whatever. I remember one time Gordie Howe came to town and they were charging 150 for an autograph. NO WAY MY HOWE WOULD DO SUCH A THING! I mean that seriously, my grandmother knew his grandmother and she made him promise if he was ever famous, he would never charge for an autograph. Of course, that's not exactly the best promise...But work with me here.

Hey draus, that's really cool. Wish I had a story like that to share like that if I was a kid with an experience like that. Cool that the wrestlers switched to character as soon as they saw you haha. Of course, that's not exactly the best promise...But work with me here. And yeah, see, I bought a 20 dollar ticket expecting to take a photo and get an autograph from Bret Hart...I mean, it can't be that hard for him to do both, right? That's not the case though. After buying my ticket, I noticed that it said "autograph or photo" so I sent an email asking if the "or" part was a mistake/typo, but nope. They told me if I wanted his autograph AND picture with him, it'd be another 20 dollars.

I, honestly, met Bret last night. He came into town early for Raw. He was with his girlfriend who was in her 20s and he was nice.
I have to say this though I was really surprised how bad he walked. He was sorta hunched over and it almost looked as if he needed a cane

Which is why I think there is no way he would wrestle, even if it was just a squash.

Alot of people are probably expecting alot more than Bret is physically capable of at this point. And I don't want to see him taking any stupid risks. And to get back on topic, I've never met Bret Hart. I saw him wrestle a couple of times at a house show and Raw taping, but thats it. However, I did meet and take pictures with Davey Boy Smith once (but the damn camera screwed up and the photos couldn't be developed ).

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll fall forward and roll like Wonka. Only, you know, on purpose and not in a tragic accident.
